According to legislation in most countries, a person has the right to access their personal information. In

practice this can mean for example that a player can request to see their information or request their

information to be removed. In such cases the player should contact the person responsible for the team’s

information.

Polar privacy policy must be available to players and guardians of underaged players so they can understand

how the information is handled in Polar’s system.

POLAR TEAM PRO – PLAYER INSTRUCTIONS

The players’ information (e.g., number, name, date of birth) is stored in the Polar Team Pro service. All

information is saved on the servers of the service provider used by Polar. Training session information is

stored on the team’s iPad for a maximum of two months, and from there it is sent to the Polar Team Pro web

service. Individual players’ personal Polar accounts can be linked to the Polar Team Pro service so that the

coach can also see them. Each player grants the team permission to see their training information on their

personal account. The player can also revoke this permission. Each player’s personal Flow accounts are

located in the Polar Flow service, and the information is saved on the servers of Polar’s service provider. The

servers are located in the EU or outside the EU.

Each player is player is entitled to access their information as stated in the data privacy laws of the country in

question. Usually this means for example that the player has the right to see what information concerning

them is saved, and request this information to be removed if necessary. When the player wishes to access

their information, the player should contact the person responsible for the team’s information.
