5.1 Defrosting
WARNING! Never use any mechanical items, knives or other sharp-
edged objects to remove the encrusted ice. Never use a steam cleaner.
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Cooling compartment:
1. The cooling-compartment is defrosted automatically. The water runs in a
container near the compressor, where it evaporates.
Freezer:
1. Remove the contents, wrap them in several layers of newspaper and store them
in a cooling box or a cool place.
2. Unplug the appliance.
3. When the encrusted ice melts put some dry cloths into the appliance to hold the
water back.
4. Do not support the defrosting procedure using hot water.
5. Remove the big pieces of ice first. Then remove the small pieces of ice.
6. Clean and dry the appliance and door seals with soft cloths.
7. Leave the door of the appliance open for a while.
8. Put the appliance into operation again as described in chapter OPERATION.
5.2 Replacing of the illuminant
1. WARNING! Switch off the
appliance and pull the plug out of the
socket before you change the
illuminant.
2. Remove the glass shelves carefully.
3. Unscrew the screw of the illuminant
cover.
4. Remove the cover
5. Screw out the illuminant.
6. Install a new one of the same kind and power (details on rating plate). Install the
cover and the screw.
7. Reinstall the glass shelves
