DVD
De inhoud van DVD-Video discs is onderverdeeld in titels die op hun beurt weer zijn
onderverdeeld in hoofdstukken.
Bij videomateriaal komt een enkel werkstuk (film enz.) normaal gesproken overeen
met een enkele titel, en de diverse scènes met de hoofdstukken op de disc. Bij
karaoke-discs komt een liedje overeen met een titel.
Sommige discs zijn echter niet op deze manier ingedeeld, iets wat u in gedachten
dient te houden als u de zoekfunctie gebruikt.
Video CD en CD
De inhoud van CD’s en Video CD’s is onderverdeeld in fragmenten. Een enkel
fragment komt normaal gesproken overeen met een enkel muziekstuk. De fragmenten
op sommige discs zijn opgenomen in een index.
Bij Video CD’s met PBC (weergave-bediening), kunt u de weergave bedienen via een
menu. In een dergelijk geval is het mogelijk dat functies zoals herhalen en zoeken
niet beschikbaar zijn.
