Part names and functions
[MASTER OUT 1] and [MASTER OUT 2] terminals (the sound of
the master channel).
When turned clockwise: The volume of the sound output from the
[MASTER OUT 1] and [MASTER OUT 2] terminals (the sound of
the master channel) becomes relatively louder.
4 Turn the [HEADPHONES LEVEL] control.
Sound is output from the headphones.
! When the [
(CH1)] button or [ (CH2)] button is pressed again,
monitoring is canceled.
! Monitoring of the sound output from the [MASTER OUT 1] and
[MASTER OUT 2] terminals (the sound of the master channel) can-
not be canceled.
Using a microphone
1 Press the [MIC (ON/OFF)] button.
2 Turn the [MIC LEVEL] control clockwise.
The sound of the microphone is output from the speakers.
! Adjust the [MIC ATT.] control on the rear panel as necessary (page
10).
Adjusting the sound quality
Turn the [MIC EQ] control.
When turned fully clockwise, the attenuation of the bass sound is
maximum.
When turned fully counterclockwise, the attenuation of the treble
sound is maximum.
Using the filter function
The sound of the high or low range is filtered out, greatly changing the
tone.
Turn the [FILTER] control.
Right: An effect as if the low range was gradually cut is achieved.
Left: An effect as if the high range was gradually cut is achieved.

This is used to select the beat multiple to which the effect is
synchronized.
2 FX SELECT (TRANS, FLANGER, ECHO, ROLL) buttons
Turns the effects on and off.
3 LEVEL/DEPTH control
Adjusts the quantitative parameter of the effect.
Using the beat effect function
This unit is equipped with four effect buttons. Effects can be applied to
the sound by pressing one of the effect buttons.
For a description of the respective effects, see the table below.
When the sample launch function is off
Press one of the [FX SELECT (TRANS, FLANGER, ECHO,
ROLL)] buttons.
The button that was pressed flashes and the effect is applied.
! When the button is pressed again, the effect turns off.
When the sample launch function is on
Press one of the [FX SELECT (TRANS, FLANGER, ECHO,
ROLL)] buttons while pressing the [SHIFT] button.
The button that was pressed flashes and the effect is applied.
! When the button is pressed again, the effect turns off.

Cuts the sound according to

FLANGER
Creates a one-cycle flanger
effect according to the beat
multiple set with the [BEAT]
control.
The further the control is
turned clockwise, the more
the effect is stressed.
When turned all the way
counterclockwise, only the
original sound is output.
ECHO
Outputs a delay sound
several times that attenuates
gradually according to the
beat multiple set with the
[BEAT] control.
The delay sound fades out in
tempo with the track, even
after the input sound is cut.
Use this to set the balance
between the original sound
and the echo sound.
ROLL
Records the input sound at
the point the [ROLL] button
is pressed and repeatedly
outputs the recorded sound
according to the beat mul-
tiple set with the [BEAT]
control.
Sets the balance between
the original sound and the
roll sound.
Varying the effect
Turn the [LEVEL/DEPTH] control.
The effect changes according to the direction in which the
[LEVEL/DEPTH] control is turned and its position.
