Cos’è il sistema RDS?
L’RDS (Radio Data System, o sistema dati radio) è un sistema che permette di trasmettere
dati insieme alle normali trasmissioni radio FM. Questi dati, che non sono udibili, for-
niscono una serie di informazioni diverse, fra le quali il nome del programma di servizio, il
tipo di programma, annunci sul traffico, sintonizzazione automatica e sintonizzazione su
programmi specifici, intese a facilitare l’utente nella scelta della stazione preferita.
Nota:
• Non tutte le stazioni forniscono servizi RDS.
• Le funzioni RDS, quali AF (ricerca di frequenze alternative) e TA (attesa di annunci sul traffico),
sono attive solo se la radio è sintonizzata su stazioni RDS.
Visualizzazione del nome del programma di servizio
Con questa funzione, il nome di reti radiofoniche o stazioni che forniscono servizi RDS
viene visualizzato sul display al posto della frequenza e mantenuto per qualche secondo
dal momento della sintonizzazione.
• Per leggere le informazioni PTY o la frequenza della stazione sintonizzata,
modificare il modo di visualizzazione del display.
Ogni volta che si preme il tasto EQ per 2 secondi si seleziona uno dei modi di visualiz-
zazione del display nella sequenza seguente:
Nome del programma di servizio
= Informazioni PTY = Frequenza
Nota:
• Cambiata la visualizzazione, se non si esegue alcuna operazione entro 8 secondi, viene visualizzato
automaticamente il nome del programma di servizio.
7 Informazioni PTY
Le informazioni PTY (Program Type ID code) relative alla stazione sintonizzata com-
paiono sul display per 8 secondi. Le informazioni fanno riferimento alla lista della sezione
“Funzione PTY” a pag. 16.
Nota:
• Se un codice PTY pari a zero viene ricevuto da una stazione, viene visualizzata l’indicazione
“NONE”. Ciò indica che la stazione non ha definito il contenuto dei suoi programmi.
• Se il segnale è troppo debole per consentire all’apparecchio di ricevere il codice PTY, viene
visualizzato “NO PTY”.
7 Frequenza
La frequenza della stazione sintonizzata compare sul display.
