Una introducción a RDS
Radio Data System (RDS) es un sistema
utilizado por la mayoría de emisoras FM para
ofrecer distintos tipos de información a sus
oyentes, como el nombre de la emisora y el tipo
de programa que están emitiendo.
Una de las ventajas de RDS es que permite
buscar emisoras por tipo de programa. Por
ejemplo, se puede buscar una emisora que
esté emitiendo el tipo de programa JAZZ.
Se pueden buscar los siguientes tipos de
programa

Búsqueda RDS/búsqueda PTY/
búsqueda TP
Búsqueda de programas RDS
Una de las características más útiles del RDS
es la capacidad de buscar un tipo concreto de
programa de radio. Puede buscar cualquier
tipo de programa de los indicados
anteriormente.
1 Pulse el botón
BAND
para seleccionar la
banda FM.

2 Pulse el botón
MENU
para seleccionar el
menú.
3 Seleccione la búsqueda de “RDS” girando
el rueda de
TUNING/PRESET
o pulsando el
botón
ST +
o
ST –
y, a continuación, pulse el
rueda de
TUNING/PRESET
o
ENTER
.
4 Gire el rueda de
TUNING/PRESET
o pulse
el botón
ST +
o
ST –
para seleccionar el modo
de búsqueda deseado (búsqueda RDS,
búsqueda PTY o búsqueda TP).
5 Pulse el rueda de
TUNING/PRESET
o el
botón ENTER para buscar el programa RDS
que desee escuchar.
El sistema comienza a buscar una
coincidencia entre las presintonías. Cuando
encuentra una, la búsqueda se detiene y la
emisora se escucha durante cinco segundos.
6 Si desea seguir escuchando la emisora
encontrada, pulse el rueda de
TUNING/
PRESET
o
ENTER
antes de que transcurran
cinco segundos.
Si no pulsa el rueda de TUNING/PRESET o el
botón ENTER, se reanuda la búsqueda.
Si la unidad no encuentra el tipo de programa,
iniciará automáticamente el modo de
búsqueda de frecuencia

Nota
1 Además puede mostrarse la palabra ALARM. ALARM se utiliza para realizar emisiones de emergencia. No puede buscar este
tipo de anuncio, pero el sintonizador cambiará automáticamente a esta señal RDS si se produce una emisión.

2 RDS sólo funciona en FM.
3 Sólo búsquedas de emisoras PTY. Si no se ha predefinido ninguna emisora, o si la búsqueda PTY no se encuentra entre las
emisoras predefinidas, se mostrará el mensaje NO PTY DATA.
