USING THE EFFECT/
SAMPLER FUNCTIONS
With the built-in digital signal processor (DSP), sound effects
can be enjoyed and BPM measured.
Features of Various Effectors
Auto BPM Counter
Automatically measures music BPM (beats per minute; tempo)
and displays it digitally.
It not only counts the beat of bass sounds but also calculates
(using a computer) the music’s original BPM, which DJs require,
and displays it digitally.
Thus, BPM can now be checked not only aurally, as was
conventional, but also visually, enabling quicker, simpler mixing
of music with different tempos.
Use of the TAP switch to input the beat manually makes it
possible to set BPM for music for which it is difficult to measure
(a capella, improvisation, etc.).
Beat Effector (Effects linked to BPM)
Links various effects to the BPM calculated with the
aforementioned auto BPM counter to enable unprecedented
sound production.

Caractéristiques des divers effecteurs
Compteur automatique de BPM
Mesure automatiquement la valeur BPM du morceau de
musique (mesures par minute; tempo) et l’affiche de façon
numérique.
Il ne compte pas seulement les mesures des graves mais
permet aussi de calculer (à l’aide d’un ordinateur) la valeur BPM
d’origine du morceau de musique, dont les DJ ont besoin, et de
l’afficher de façon numérique.
Dorénavant, la valeur BPM peut être vérifiée non seulement de
façon conventionnelle – en écoutant la musique – mais aussi
visuellement, ce qui permet un mixage plus rapide et plus
simple de morceaux de musique aux rythmes différents.
Le commutateur TAP, qui sert à entrer manuellement le rythme,
permet de déterminer la valeur BPM des morceaux de musique
pour lesquels elle est difficile à mesurer (a cappella,
improvisations, etc.).
Effecteur de rythme (Effets liés au BPM)
Permet de lier divers effets au BPM calculé à l’aide du compteur
BPM précité, afin d’obtenir un son sans précédent.
1. DELAY (one sound repeated)
Quickly and easily mixes delayed sounds of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1/1,
2/1, 4/1 and 8/1 beats.
Mixing with 1/2-beat-delayed sound, for example, will
change the beat from 4 to 8.
Mixing with a 3/4-beat-delayed sound will change the
rhythm to a bouncy one.

1. DELAY (répétition d’un son)
Permet de mixer rapidement et facilement des sons retardés,
dotés de mesures de 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1/1, 2/1, 4/1 et 8/1.
Le mixage avec un son retardé d’un 1/2 temps, par
exemple, change la mesure de 4 en 8.
Le mixage avec un son retardé d’un 3/4 de temps donne un
rythme dynamique.
