Cos’è il sistema RDS?
L’RDS (Radio Data System) è un sistema che permette di trasmettere dati insieme alle
normali trasmissioni radio in FM. Questi dati, che non sono udibili, forniscono una varietà
di informazioni, fra le qualli il nome della stazione, il tipo di programma, annunci sul
traffico, sintonizzazione automatica e sintonizzazione automatica su programmi di tipo
particolare intesi ad aiutare gli ascoltatori a massimizzare il piacere dell’ascolto.
Nota:
• Non tutte le stazioni radio forniscono servizi RDS.
• Le funzioni RDS come la AF (Alternative Frequencies search) e la TA (Traffic Announcement
standby) sono disponibili solo quando si ascoltano trasmissioni RDS.
Visualizzazione del nome della stazione radio
Con questa funzione, il nome di reti radiofoniche o stazioni che forniscono servizi RDS
sostituisce la frequenza sul quadrante per qualche secondo quando esse vengono messe in
sintonia.
• Per leggere le informazieni PTY o conoscere la frequenza della stazione
correntemente sintonizzara, cambiata la visualizzazione.
Ciascuna pressione del tasto DISPLAY sceglie la visualizzazione nella sequenza seguente.
Nome della stazione = Informazioni PTY = Frequenza
Nota:
• Cambiata la visualizzazione, se non si esegue un’operazione entro 8 secondi, il nome della stazione
radio scompare.
7 Informazioni PTY
Le informazioni PTY (Program Type ID code) relative alla stazione al momento in
sintonia appaiono sul quadrante per 8 secondi. Le informazioni sono legate alla lista della
sezione “Lista dei tipi di programmi (PTY)” a pag. 19.
Nota:
• Se un codice PTY pari a zero viene ricevuto da una stazione, viene visualizzata l’indicazione
“NONE”. Ciò indica che la stazione non ha definito il contenuto dei suoi programmi.
• Se il segnale è troppo debole perché questo prodotto possa ricevere il codice PTY, viene
visualizzato “NO PTY”.
7 Frequenza
La frequenza della stazione attuale appare sul quadrante.
