Op Windows-systemen worden veel ‘taken’ (softwareprogramma’s)
op de achtergrond uitgevoerd, meestal zonder dat dit opvalt. Soms
blijkt één van deze programma’s echter de oorzaak van instabiliteit van
een ander programma te zijn.
In Windows 7 of Windows 8, activeert u Taakbeheer via de
toetsencombinatie Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Op het tabblad Processen ziet u
welke processen er actief zijn. Zie kennisdatabase, document 229157,

Defragmenteer uw harde schijf
Zie kennisdatabase, document 232457, Informatie over
defragmenteren van de harde schijf in Windows, voor instructies en
advies.
Werk audio- en videostuurprogramma’s bij
Controleer of u de nieuwste audio- en videostuurprogramma’s van de
websites van de fabrikanten gebruikt.
U kunt bepalen welke geluidskaart en videokaart u hebt met behulp
van de lijst van Apparaatbeheer in Windows (onder Besturing voor
geluid, video en spelletjes en Beeldschermadapters). Dubbelklik op de
naam van de kaart om de fabrikant en de datum van het
stuurprogramma te bepalen. Klik nu op de tab Stuurprogramma om
alle informatie te bekijken, inclusief Fabrikant en Datum.
Updates voor stuurprogramma’s worden vaak ter beschikking gesteld
op de websites van de hardwarefabrikanten.
