8 Instant VideoAlbum

AVI-bestand (Audio Video Interleave): een
veelgebruikt type Windows video- en audiobestand dat
in het algemeen is gecomprimeerd, maar niet
noodzakelijkerwijs. Een video- en audiobestand dat
wordt gecaptured van een DV-camcorder naar Instant
VideoAlbum, wordt een type-2 DV AVI-bestand
genoemd. Om een AVI-bestand af te spelen op een
Windows-pc hebt u CODEC (Compressor/DECom-
pressor) software nodig voor het verwerken van de
compressiemethode van het AVI-bestand. In de
praktijk kunt u met Instant VideoAlbum de meeste
AVI-bestanden importeren, maar proprietary en
ongecomprimeerde AVI-bestanden of AVI-bestanden
die zijn gecomprimeerd met een CODEC die niet op
uw computer is geïnstalleerd, kunnen problemen
opleveren. Als u niet zeker weet of een bepaald AVI-
bestand compatibel is, kunt u controleren of u het kunt
afspelen in Windows Media Player voordat u het
bestand importeert in Instant VideoAlbum.
Scène: secties van een videobestand waarvan Instant
VideoAlbum heeft herkend dat deze bij elkaar horen.
Een videobestand kan ook handmatig worden gesplitst
in verschillende scènes.
Menupagina: (of menu) een grafische achtergrond met
maximaal 12 interactieve knoppen die betrekking
hebben op video's en diavoorstellingen, en op de lay-
outs, tekststijlen en frametypen waaruit de menupagina
is opgebouwd.
Miniaturen: kleine afbeeldingen van video's en foto's
die worden weergegeven op menupagina's.
