Problem Possible cause Solution
I see some
damaged spots
inside my
appliance. Is it
dangerous?
Some small spots may
appear inside the pan of
the appliance due to the
coating being touched or
scratched (e.g. when you
insert the basket or during
cleaning).
This will not happen if you lower the basket into the
pan properly. If you insert the basket at an angle, its
side may knock against the wall of the pan, causing
small pieces of coating to chip off. These spots are not
harmful, as the materials used are food-safe.
The lid is full
with water and
the metal area
is discolored.
You cleaned the lid in the
dishwasher.
The lid is not dishwasher-proof. Clean the lid by hand
with some washing-up liquid and a moist cloth. If
there is some water inside the lid, try to shake the
water out of it. The remaining water in the lid will
evaporate during cooking.
When I remove
the lid of the
appliance
during hot air
frying, some
crumbs fly out
towards me.
You are preparing
breadcrumbed food.
If you prepare breadcrumbed food, switch off the
appliance before you open the lid.
If you need to shake or turn breadcrumbed food
during cooking, set the timer to half of the cooking
time (or to the time after which you want to shake or
turn the food). Wait until you hear the timer bell and
the appliance to switch off before you remove the lid.
After shaking or turning, set the timer to the remaining
cooking time.
Tip: Shake the basket over the sink to avoid
breadcrumbs landing in the appliance.
