Probleem Oorzaak Oplossing

GC8220: u hebt stoomstand a (geen
stoom) ingesteld.
Gebruik stoomstand ] (minimale
stoom), [ (matige stoom) of p
(maximale stoom).
U hebt het waterreservoir niet goed in
de stoomgenerator geplaatst.
Plaats het waterreservoir goed in de
stoomgenerator (‘klik’).
Wanneer het strijkijzer op een zeer
hoge temperatuur is ingesteld, is de
geproduceerde stoom droog en
nauwelijks zichtbaar, vooral wanneer de
omgevingstemperatuur relatief hoog is.
De stoom is zelfs volledig onzichtbaar
wanneer de temperatuur is ingesteld op
MAX.
Stel het strijkijzer in op een lagere
temperatuur, bijvoorbeeld 2, om
te controleren of het strijkijzer
daadwerkelijk stoom produceert.
Er komen
waterdruppeltjes
uit de zoolplaat.
De ingestelde temperatuur is te laag
voor stoomstrijken.
Stel de temperatuur in op 2 of
hoger.
Wanneer u begint te stoomstrijken en
als u een tijdje stopt met stoomstrijken,
zal de stoom die nog in de toevoerslang
aanwezig is, afkoelen en condenseren.
Hierdoor komen er waterdruppeltjes uit
de zoolplaat.
Dit is normaal. Als u begint te
strijken of het strijken tijdelijk hebt
onderbroken, houdt u het strijkijzer
boven een oude lap en drukt u de
stoomhendel in. Wacht totdat er geen
water maar stoom uit de zoolplaat
komt.
Er komen
schilfertjes en
verontreinigingen
uit de zoolplaat of
de zoolplaat is vuil.
Onzuiverheden of chemicaliën in
het water hebben zich afgezet in de
stoomgaatjes van de zoolplaat en/of op
de zoolplaat zelf.
Maak de zoolplaat schoon met een
vochtige doek.
Het apparaat
maakt een
pompend geluid.
Er wordt water in de stoomgenerator
gepompt.
Dit is normaal.
Het pompende geluid houdt niet op. Haal direct de stekker uit het
stopcontact en neem contact op
met een geautoriseerd Philips-
servicecentrum.
Het strijkijzer
produceert
onophoudelijk
stoom.
De stoomvergrendeling staat op de
‘aan’-stand.
Zet de stoomvergrendeling op de
‘uit’-stand als u wilt dat het strijkijzer
uitsluitend stoom produceert wanneer
u op de stoomhendel drukt (zie
‘Stoomvergrendeling’).
Er komt vies water
uit de zoolplaat.
Er hebben zich te veel kalkdeeltjes
en mineralen opgehoopt in de
stoomgenerator.
Spoel de stoomgenerator schoon.
Zie hoofdstuk ‘Schoonmaken en
onderhoud’.
