Bij een installatie zonder achterluidsprekers (analoog stereo-uitgangs-
signaal) worden de zes kanalen met digitale surroundsignalen (AC-3,
MPEG-2) door de functie 3D Sound vermengd tot een uitgangssignaal
voor twee luidsprekers, waarbij alle oorspronkelijke audiogegevens
behouden blijven. Het resultaat is een geluidsweergave waarbij men het
gevoel heeft door verschillende luidsprekers te zijn omringd.
