Muschelkante

Die Muschelkante wirkt besonders

effektvoll bei dünnen, weichen Geweben

wie Seide und Viskose. Sie ﬁ ndet

häuﬁ g Verwendung als Randabschluss

an Unterwäsche. Je stärker die

Unterfadenspannung eingestellt ist, desto

tiefer ist der Muschelkanteneinzug.

• Stoffkante versäubern und die

Nahtzugabe nach links umbügeln.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass der Stoff

während des Nähens nur halb unter

dem Nähfuß läuft. Dadurch wird der

Muschelkanteneffekt verstärkt.

TIPP: Durch das Mitführen eines

farbigen Wollfadens verstärken Sie die

Muschelkante und erzielen gleichzeitig

einen hübschen Kontrastabschluss.

Anstelle eines Wollfadens kann auch

ein andersfarbiger, feiner Stoff unterlegt

werden.
