Before Using
Read the instructions carefully.
They contain important notes for
the use, safety and maintenance of
the appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and
transfer them to a future user.
Only use the appliance for the pur-
pose mentioned in these instruc-
tions.
When using pay particular attention
to the safety advice below.
Safety instructions
• Only use the specified batteries
in the unit. Replace spent batter-
ies in due time and dispose of
them properly.
•Do not place the froth maker on
hot surfaces, such as cooking
tops or similar, as it could be
damaged.
• Children do not recognise the
dangers which may occur when
handling electric appliances. For
this reason, never leave children
unattended when handling elec-
tric appliances.
•Do not immerse the unit in water.
•Do not process hot liquids as
well as solid foodstuffs, such as
berries, as the unit could be
damaged.
• In the case of misuse, wrong
handling or incorrect repair no
liability will be taken for possible
damages. Claims under guaran-
tee are also excluded in such
cases.
•The appliance is not designed
for commercial purposes.
Putting into service
Prior to first use, the batteries,
which are not part of the scope of
supply, have to be placed. Two 1.5
V batteries of Mignon / AA class,
type LR 6 or the rechargeable ele-
ments (accumulators) type KR have
to be used. Put the switch on posi-
tion 0. Apply light pressure on to
the ribbed surface to open the bat-
tery compartment. When placing
the batteries, please observe the
polarity marked in the housing.
Subsequently fit the cover again;
the ribbed surfaces have to be on
top of each other.
When the speed decreases notice-
ably, the batteries are low and have
to be replaced. If the froth maker is
not used for a longer period of
time, the batteries have to be
removed from the unit.
