Important information

According to European regulations1) used electronic and electrical devices may
no longer be disposed of in unsorted household waste. They must be dealt with
separately. The wheelie bin symbol (see image left) denotes that the product
must be disposed of in separated waste.
You can help to protect the environment by ensuring that when you choose to stop using
this product you dispose of it in the separated waste collection system.
In Germany you are legally obliged2) to dispose of used electrical products separately from
unsorted household waste. The public authority responsible for waste management (com-
munes) have established collection points for this purpose and used electrical products
from local domestic households are accepted here free of charge. Some waste manage-
ment authorities will also collect used products from domestic households.
Please find out about your local waste collection rota or ask your local authority about the
options for disposing of used electrical products in your area.
