Headphone socket

The 3.5 mm stereo headphone socket located on the top of

your radio is provided for use with stereo headphones or an

earpiece. Connecting headphones automatically mutes the

built in speaker.

Important:

Excessive volume levels from earphones and headphones

may cause damage to your hearing.

Note:

Volume protection is featured in this unit to prevent unexpectedly

loud output while using headphones/an earpiece. If you

plug in a headphones/an earpiece when your speaker

volume is turned on to more than 14, the volume step will

be decreased to 12 as soon as you insert a headphones/

an earpiece to the headphone socket.

2) Never use the headphone socket in rainy or moist conditions

to prevent moist from entering the radio. Always keep the

rubber cover on top well closed under these conditions.

Key lock

The key lock function is used to prevent unintentional

operation of the radio. When key lock is activated, all

function keys will be disabled.

To activate the key lock function, press and hold the Select

button for 3 seconds. “Keys Locked” will show on the display. To

disabled the key lock function, press and hold the Select button

for 3 seconds and “Keys Unlocked” will show on the display.
