Rückplatte
An der Rückplatte befinden sich RJ-45 Ports, die zum Vernetzen der Computer und anderer
Geräte dienen sowie eine Strombuchse.
Bedienung des Gerätes
1. Das mitgelieferte Netzteil an die Strombuchse anschliessen, die sich an der
Geräterückplatte befindet, dann das Netzteil an die Stromdose anschliessen.
2. Computer und andere Netzwerkgeräte mit Netzwerkkabel (nicht mitgeliefert) an die RJ-45
Ports anschliessen, die sich an der Rückplatte des Gerätes befinden. Jeder Port am Gerät
kann zum Anschliessen eines anderen Switches (uplink) dienen.
Halbduplex und Vollduplex
PENTAGRAM NEsT 8P unterstützt den Halb- und Vollduplex bei 10Base-T und 100Base-TX
Modus.
Halbduplex – Daten können nicht zugleich versendet und empfangen werden. Die Versendung
erfolgt nach erfolgreich abgeschlossenem Empfang.
Vollduplex – Daten können zugleich versendet und empfangen werden. Durch den Vollduplex-
Modus kann man den Datendurchsatz verdoppeln.
Die Datenübertragung bei Vollduplex ist möglich:
• zwischen zwei unmittelbar verbundenen Geräten (etwa Switch–Switch, Switch–PC)
• wenn beide Geräte den Vollduplex-Modus unterstützen
• wenn beide Geräte im gleichen Modus der automatischen Verhandlung arbeiten (etwa
automatische Verhandlung – automatische Verhandlung oder keine automatische
Verhandlung – keine automatische Verhandlung)
Automatische Verhandlung
Jeder Geräteport unterstützt Funktion der automatischen Verhandlung der Datenrate. Dadurch
kann für jeden Port individuell die beste verfügbare Datenrate beim Anschliessen an ein anderes
Gerät gewählt werden.
Die Tabelle schildert Modi, bei denen das Gerät arbeitet, wenn er mit einem anderen Gerät
verbunden wird.
