U hoeft de koelkast niet te ontdooien, omdat het ijs op de
achterwand automatisch ontdooit. Het ijs dat op de achterwand
ontstaat als de compressor in werking is, dooit als de compressor
niet in werking is. Het loopt in druppeltjes naar beneden en
stroomt daarna via de opening in de achterwand van de koelkast
in het bakje boven de compressor, waar het verdampt. Schakel
de koelkast uit en ontdooi hem met de hand als zich op de
achterwand in de koelkast een te dikke ijslaag vormt (3-5 mm).
