Switching on
The induction hob is fitted with a residual heat indicator, warming zone, pause
function, cooking timer, childproof lock, automatic cooking-time limiter and 1
programme memory per zone. On this page and the following ones, you can
read how to use these facilities.
Switching on and setting the power level
1 Put a pan on a cooking zone.
2 Press the on/off button. A “-” will appear in
the display.
3 Select the required setting using the +/- button.
If you press “+” , setting 5 will appear. If you press “-”, setting 1 will appear. If
you do not select a setting, the zone will switch off automatically after a few
seconds.
Switching off
Switch off the zone by pressing the on/off button or
press the - button until a hyphen appears in the
display.
The display will go out.
Residual heat indicator
If a cooking zone has been used intensively it will
retain heat for several minutes afterwards. As long
as the cooking zone is still hot an “H” will be
visible in the display.
Warming zone
Switching on
Press the touch control for one second (see
illustration). The red indicator light comes on. The
warming zone switches on.
Switching off
Press the touch control and the red indicator light goes out. The warming zone
switches off.

During usage
Remember the very short heating up time at the higher settings. Always stay
close to the hob if you have a cooking zone on a high setting.
Never let an empty pan stand on a hotplate that is switched on. While the
hotplate is protected and will switch itself off, the pan will be extremely hot.
The pan could be damaged.
When the induction hob is in use keep objects that can be affected by
magnetic fields (credit cards, bank cards, diskettes, watches and similar items)
away from its vicinity. We advise those who have pacemakers to consult a
heart specialist first.
Do not use the appliance below 5 °C.
Warming zone
Although the warming zone has a diameter of 13 cm, you can place a pan of
any size on it. In general, pans conduct heat so well that the diameter of the
pan is less important for keeping the food warm.
