FIRST USE / USE AFTER LONG PERIODS - BEGINNING OF SEASON
x Read Safety, Lighting And Operating Instructions carefully.
x Check gas valve orifices, burner tubes and burner ports for any obstruction.
x Check that the burner tube is properly located over the valve orifice.
x Check to see if the cylinder is filled.
x Check for gas leaks using soapy water solution.
x Set burner controls to “OFF” and connect the gas supply.
x Open the hood before lighting.
SIDE BURNER OPERATING PROCEDURE
x Inspect the gas supply hose prior to turning on the gas. If there is evidence of cuts,
wear or abrasion, it must be replaced prior to use. Do not use the side burner if gas
odor is present.
x Keep a spray bottle of soapy water near the gas supply valve and check the
connections before each use.
x Open the hood before lighting.
Push and turn the control knob to “HI” simultaneously push the electronic ignition
button. Release the button after the burner is lit.
If the electronic ignition does not produce a spark, than light by match.
Use wok or pan up to 200 mm with a minimum of 120 mm diameter. Larger pots may
result in discoloration of the surface finish.
BURN-OFF PROCEDURE
Before cooking on your BBQ for the first time, burn-off any residual oils or foreign matter from
grill/plate/pan.
x With hood fully open, operate burners at “HI” for approximately 10-15 minutes.
x Turn off, allow to cool, then wash with soap suds and scrubbing brush. Wipe clean
with cloth.
