Handling and operation
In this chapter you receive important information about the handling and opera-
tion of the appliance.
Switching the appliance on and off
♦ Insert the power plug into a mains wall socket.
♦ To switch the appliance on, place the On/Off switch

♦ To switch the appliance off , place the On/Off switch

Optimal working procedures
WARNING
► The vacuuming up of glowing ash and combustible, explosive or health
hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
► Only vacuum cold ashes. Cold ash is ash, which has cooled for suffi ciently
long and contains no embers. This can be determined by combing o
ver the
ash with a metal tool before the appliance is used. From cold ash there is
no perceptible heat radiation.
