Text message alerts are not

isplayed or announced.
R Confirm that the cellular phone supports the Message
Access Profile (MAP) specification.
R If your smartphone does not support Message Access
Profile (MAP), download the “Text Message Alert” app
(page 53).
R Text message (SMS) alert is set to “On(no announce)”
or “Off”. Set it to “On(with name)”.
R The Bluetooth device’s Bluetooth notifications setting is
turned off.
R The handset selected to display and/or announce alerts is
in use.
R The Bluetooth device or its corresponding cellular line is
in use.
Answering system
Problem Cause/solution
The unit does not record new
messages.
R The answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 56).
R The answering system does not answer or record calls
from cellular lines.
R The message memory is full. Erase unnecessary
messages (page 57).
R The recording time is set to “Greeting only”. Change
the setting (page 61).
R Your service provider/telephone company’s voice mail
service may be answering your calls before the unit’s
answering system can answer your calls. Change the
unit’s number of rings setting (page 61) to a lower value,
or contact your service provider/telephone company.
R The answering system will not answer incoming calls
while the other devices such as headset or handsets are
engaged in a call.
I cannot operate the answering
s
ystem remotely.
R The remote access code is not set. Set the remote
access code (page 60).
R You are entering the wrong remote access code. If you
have forgotten your remote access code, enter the
remote access code setting to check your current code
(page 60).
R The answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 61).
R You cannot operate the answering system when calling a
cellular phone paired to the base unit.
The unit does not emit the

pecified number of rings.
R If the first ring is turned off, the number of rings decreases
by 1 from the specified number of rings.

  • i accidentally deleted messages a few days ago, been trying to find how to get them back, it never announced that messages were being deleted, just showed 0 messages, is there any way possible to recover the lost messages??It's a Panasonic KXTGE- 270 model. thank you Submitted on 24-1-2022 at 17:52

  • Panasonic KX-TGE270 - Instead of showing a 10 digits phone number on the display screen, it now shows 11 digits (a leading 1) followed by "Invalid Number". The last 10 digits are actually good incoming calls but the additional "1" character forces the "Invalid Number" on the display. Any suggestions as to how to fix the problem.     • Mine shows all the numbers and it adds the 1-xxx-xxxx to everything.
