1. Signaalsterkte
Na het uitrichten van de antenne kunt u in het submenu “Extra’s” van het
hoofdmenu op elk moment de signaalsterkte opvragen. Aan de hand van de
afgebeelde verticale balk kunt u de signaalsterkte beoordelen.
De C/N-waarde geeft nogmaals dezelfde waarde in dB aan. Naarmate dit getal
hoger is, is de ontvangstkwaliteit beter. Afhankelijk van de zender moet bij DVB-S
vanaf een waarde van ca. 8 de ontvangst goed zijn. Bij DVB-T (optioneel) is een C/N
vanaf ca. 15 voldoende voor een storingsvrije ontvangst.
De drie gekleurde velden naast de balk geven informatie over de status van de ver-
schillende fasen van de ontvanger. Alleen als deze drie velden groen zijn, bevat het
signaal geldige gegevens en kan er een beeld worden gegenereerd. Met P+/P- kunt
u op de achtergrond het geselecteerde programma overschakelen.
Met INFO verschijnt er een vergrote versie van de C/N weergave.
Opmerking:
De signaalsterkte hangt niet alleen af van de instelling van uw ontvanger en uw
positie binnen het bedekkingsgebied, maar ook van het actueel gekozen kanaal.
Houdt u hier rekening mee als u aan de hand van de weergegeven signaalsterkte
de uitrichting van de antenne controleert. Het is normaal dat sommige kanalen een
sterk signaal hebben, terwijl het signaal van andere kanalen zeer zwak is.
