Software-update
Via satelliet of via internet met gebruik van de RS-232-interface
De installatie van software-updates via satelliet staat voor alle systemen van de
“Digital”-productreeks van ten Haaft ter beschikking met een productiedatum vanaf
september 2008. De update satelliet is heden Astra1H op 19,2° oost, d.w.z. updates
zijn mogelijk in het bedekkingsgebied van deze satelliet. Neem a.u.b. in acht: Deze
software-update is niet beschikbaar voor de systemen van de “Vision”-productreeks
of voor oudere systemen van de “Digital”-reeks.
Vanaf januari 2007 geproduceerde systemen kunnen achteraf met deze feature wor-
den uitgerust. Hiervoor moet éénmalig een actuele update m.b.v. een computer op
het systeem worden ingespeeld. Meer informatie over receiver-updates vindt u op
de website:

Bediening:
Om de update te starten, richt de antenne op Astra 1 en druk op de afstandsbe-
diening op de knop MENU. Kies dan in het hoofdmenu het menu-item “Satelliet-
update”.
De volgende menu-items kunt u met de afstandsbediening selecteren:
1. Check for updates (controleren of updates beschikbaar zijn)
2. Display box serial number (weergave van een hardware nummer)
9. Boot fi rmware (herstart van de receiver)
Hieronder wordt het gebruik van deze menu’s toegelicht.
1. Check for updates
Dit menu controleert of er voor het betreffende apparaattype updates via satelliet
uitgezonden worden. Hiervoor dient een update-code te worden ingevoerd. Het
invoeren van deze code zorgt ervoor dat niet per ongeluk een verkeerde of niet
geschikte update geladen wordt.
