1. Nyní rozložte uhlí tak, aby byla pokryta jen polovina roštu a miska na šťávu byla nasunuta do středu. Druhá polovina roštu má zůstat volná,
abyste během grilování:
a. zajistili optimální přísun vzduchu a tím dosáhli maximálního žáru a
b. mohli jednoduchým a rychlým otáčením vybírat mezi nepřímým a přímým žárem

2. Nasuňte nyní misku na šťávu do středu roštu na uhlí a naplňte ji požadovanou kapalinou.
3. Teprve potom vložte trychtýř a grilovací rošt. Dbejte, aby vyklopitelný díl roštu ležel nad otvorem pro trychtýř tak, aby obě zarážky pod grilovacím
roštem bez problémů zapadly do určených otvorů v trychtýři.
4. Otáčejte otvorem pro trychtýř, dokud se nedostane nad hořící uhlí. Tím dosáhnete optimální cirkulace vzduchu. Teprve nyní můžete začít
grilovat.
5. Před přiložením nového uhlí se vždy podívejte na žár. Je třeba dávkovat opatrně, abyste měli pod kontrolou zvýšení teploty. K zajištění ochrany
grilovaných pochutin a samotného grilu byste neměli dosáhnout teploty 300° C (626° F). Příliš vysoké teploty mohou vést k deformaci částí
grilu.
6. Vyklopitelný grilovací rošt usnadňuje doplňování dřevěného uhlí při grilování. Otáčejte grilovacím roštem, dokud se vyklopitelná část nedosta-
ne nad otvor pro trychtýř. Doplňte brikety a vyčkejte po dobu 5–10 minut při otevřeném víku, dokud nebudou zcela rozžhavené.
