1. The measuring spoon provided should be full of espresso powder, equivalent to a full small sieve. So for a double espresso,
you will have 2 full measuring spoons to add. When filling the sieve, the coffee will take the shape of a small mound.
Therefore, it should be pressed gently and then pounded with the back of the measuring spoon
2. When mashing, the espresso powder should be flush with the edge of the sieve
3. Wipe off any excess espresso powder lying on the edge of the sieve
Preparing the espresso
DANGER to burn injuries!
The sieve holder, sieves and brewing unit are hot after rinsing and espresso preparation. Hold the hot filter holder by the handle only
and allow all parts to cool down before touching them. You can use the flip-up lid in the sieve holder to lock the sieve and shake and
tap out the coffee grounds.
What should you pay attention to?
- The espresso machine should be ready to use. This means that the blue LED lights on the single and double espresso indicator
buttons are on. Also with the steam delivery dial on the side of the machine set to "-" (off)
1. Select the appropriate strainer for single or double espresso.
2. Place the sieve holder, fitted with the filled sieve, under the brewing unit. With the handle to the left, at the level of the open
lock. Insert the sieve holder in the brewing unit and turn in the direction of the closed lock. You will feel resistance and notice
that the filter holder is stuck. Do not use too much force, you will notice this when the whole machine starts to move or shift.
3. Place the heated cup or cups in the correct position under the water outlet opening of the strainer holder
4. Select the espresso you want to make (single or double) and press the button. The machine will start the process of making
the espresso, at this the blue LED light of the selected espresso button flashes
5. The espresso will flow into the cup until the factory-set amount is reached (about 40ml for a single espresso), do not interrupt
this process
6. After the espresso is ready press the selected button again at which point it will stop.
7. The blue LED light will start flashing again as the machine is heating up. When the LED light is fully lit again, a new espresso
can be made

come down slightly, allowing you to remove it from the machine.
9. Raise the flap in the plastic handle to secure the sieve and avoid getting burned by this now hot part. Now you can knock or
scoop out the coffee grounds. We recommend throwing this away with the organic waste.
10. Let the sieve cool a little and rinse it before making a new espresso.
