Disposal
The appliance falls under KCA (small chemical waste) and is subject to European directive 2012/19/EU. If you part with the
appliance, dispose of it via an authorised waste disposal company or via your municipal waste disposal service. Observe the

• Espresso powder on the edge of the sieve?
• Check the opening in the bottom of the sieve for blockages.
• Does the machine/brewing unit need descaling?
Espresso flows through the sieve
holder too quickly and is too thin
• Espresso powder ground too coarsely? Not enough espresso powder? Not firm enough or
uneven grinding?
Sieve holder cannot be turned all
the way to the symbol.
• Too much espresso powder?
• Espresso powder on the edge of the sieve?
A lot of noise from the pump
• Is the water tank not inserted correctly?
• When first used, this may be normal until the system is filled with water.
• No water or steam comes out of the steam nozzle.

• Is the steam pipe clogged?
• Does the machine/steam nozzle need descaling?
After about 80 seconds, no more
water or steam comes out of the
steam nozzle.
• This is normal. This is a safety function. Turn the dial back to OFF and unlock the espresso
button when preparing hot water. Check that the water tank contains enough water.
When the machine has warmed up again, the function can be used again.
The LED lights flash
• After steam generation, the temperature is still too hot for a tasty espresso. The machine
cools down. You can speed up this cooling process.
