OPTIONS
The following options are available to extend the performance of
your printer:
> 10/100 BASE-TX Network Interface Card: to make the
B4400, B4400L and B4600, B4600L network compatible
> 16, 32, 64, 128, 256MB RAM DIMM: to extend the main
memory of your printer and speed up the processing of
large files
> RS232C Card: to provide serial interface capability for the
B4400, B4400L and B4600, B4600L
> Second paper tray: to increase your printer’s paper
handling capacity by 500 sheets (80g/m²)
> Multi Purpose Tray: to extend the range of media your
printer can accommodate (capacity 100 sheets (80g/m²)
or 50 envelopes)
> One of the following can be added:
(a) 8MB Flash DIMM: to allow the storage of additional
fonts or bar codes for the B4400, B4400L, B4400n,
B4400Ln, B4600, B4600L, B4600n, B4600Ln
(b) 16MB Flash DIMM: to allow the storage of additional
fonts or bar codes for the B4400, B4400L, B4400n,
B4400Ln, B4600, B4600L, B4600n, B4600Ln
(c) PostScript PS level 3 DIMM: to add PostScript
emulation to the B4600, B4600L or B4600n,
B4600Ln. Cannot be added in conjunction with extra
flash memory.
(d) The B4600, B4600L PS option is supplied as 2
DIMMs: a PS DIMM and a 16MB RAM DIMM. When
fitted into a basic B4600, B4600L or B4600n,
B4600Ln (i.e. one with no memory upgrade already
fitted) the PS DIMM will expand into the 16MB RAM
DIMM in order to work, and the amount of memory
available for general operation of the printer will
therefore not change. It will remain at 16MB, which
is the printer's base memory.
