Warnings
1) WARNING: Do not place any additional baggage on the seat. Any
additional baggage must be placed on the opposite side of the
bicycle with respect to the seat. For example: if the seat is in the
rear of the bicycle, use a front bag carrier and vice versa
2) WARNING: Do not modify the seat.
3) WARNING: Riding the bicycle may be different with a child in the
seat, especially regarding balance, steering and braking.
4) WARNING: Never park the bicycle leaving the child unattended
in the seat.
5) WARNING: Do not use the seat if any part is missing or broken.
Mounting and assembling the child seat
Illustrations 1-2:
Insert the right and left jaws (4) (5) aligning them in correspondence
to the right and left sides between plate and jaws. Push both jaws
inwards as far as possible.
Illustration 3:
Insert the handwheel (8) in the threaded bar mounted on the fasten-
ing plate (6).
Illustration 4:
Turn the handwheel (8) clockwise whilst pushing both jaws (4,5)
inwards until they start to move.
Illustration 5:
Use the screws (7) to fasten the handwheel (8) to the threaded rod.
Illustrations 6-7:
Place the child seat on the bicycle carrier rack and block in place
by turning the handwheel (8) clockwise until the jaws (4,5) are
completely closed. To release the seat from the carrier rack, turn the
hand wheel (8) counter-clockwise while pressing down on the red
lever (fig. 6,A).
WARNING: Close the jaws firmly in place and check they remain
tight on a regular basis.
NOTE: Refer to the installation diagram (illustration 8) when fitting
the child seat on the carrier rack to make sure it is positioned cor-
rectly. The barycentre symbol on the side of the seat must be within
a maximum distance of 10 cm with respect to the centre of the
wheel. We recommend fitting the child seat as close as possible to
the bicycle seat.
Illustration 9:
Bind the fastening block safety strap to the bicycle seat post, secur-
ing the excess strap with the stop (fig. 10,A).
WARNING: always use the safety belts!
WARNING: always use the belt fastener to prevent the excess
section of the belt coming into contact with the wheels or other
mechanical moving parts on the bicycle.
Using the seat:
Illustrations 11-12:
Fastening the footrests: Place the footrest marked “SX” in the high-
est position of the seat’s left leg. Insert the regulating pin marked
“SX” from the outside of the child seat inwards. Repeat the opera-
tions for the right footrest and relative regulating pin, marked “DX”.
To adjust the height of the footrests (9), rotate the regulating pin
(10) upwards; once you have found the desired position, turn the
pin downwards to fix the footrests in place.
Illustration 13:
Fastening and unfastening the child’s feet: to secure the child’s feet,
secure the strap on the external side of the foot in the clasp on the
rest.
Always make sure your child’s feet are well fastened to the foot-
rests. The safety belt is long for easy adjustment.
Illustration 14:
Setting the height of the belt: remove the belts to adjust height,
inserting the clasp behind the back through the slot as required (fig.
14-A). Choose the upper or lower openings to fix the belts based on
the child’s height. Setting belt length: modify belt length by sliding
the buckles. The belts must be fastened firmly without them being
too tight for the child. Fastening the belts: connect the belt clasp.
Check that the belt clasp clicks shut properly by pulling on the belt.
Illustration 15:
To unfasten the belt, simultaneously press the two buttons (front
and rear) found on the clasp.
Maintenance
1) Clean the seat, the padding and the belts with warm water and
a mild detergent. Do not use solvents or abrasive or corrosive
detergents. Leave the padding to dry in the open air. Do not
iron out.
2) Seat repairs and replacement of damaged components must
only be carried out by authorized personnel.
