11. Observe all safety instructions to avoid damage through improper use! Follow all safety warnings
on the appliance and in this instruction manual.
12. Keep this instruction manual for future use. Should this appliance be passed on to a third party,
then this instruction manual must be included.
13. No liability will be accepted for damage resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these
instructions.
14. Only use this appliance for its intended use. The appliance is not suitable for commercial use. This
appliance is only suitable for indoor and household use.
15. Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and
current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
16. Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet and contact
your supplier if it is damaged.
17. To avoid damaging to the power cord, do not squeeze, bend or rub it on sharp edges. Keep it away
from hot surfaces and open ames as well.
18. Place the cord in such a way that no unintentional pulling or tripping over it is possible. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
19. If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the power consumed by the
appliance.
20. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet oor. Do not touch the
power plug with wet hands.
21. Do not open the appliance casing under any circumstances. Do not insert any foreign objects into
the inside of the casing.
22. Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open ames, e.g.
candles, beside the appliance. Do not place objects lled with water, e.g. vases, near the appliance.
23. Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open ames. Protect the appliance against heat
and cold, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
24. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
25. Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency
the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to
completely switch o the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
26. Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.
27. For additional protection, we recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping
current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying power to your appliance. The
installation should be done by an experienced electrician.
28. Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
29. Should the appliance fall into water, unplug the power plug rst before reaching into the water.
30. Danger of re or electric shock! Do not insert slices of bread that are too thick. Do not insert metal
foil or tools into the toaster.
31. To avoid personal injury and damages to the appliance, do not remove bread from the toaster as
long as it is still in use. Only place bread in the toaster for toasting.
32. Do not toast bread with high sugar content or bread, which is sprinkled with sugar. Do not toast
bread with a spread on it.
33. Do not cover the appliance while it is in use or shortly after use, when it is still hot. Allow the
appliance to cool completely before storing.
34. This appliance is classied as protection class I and must be connected to a protective ground.
35. Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
INTENDED USE
This appliance is intended to toast and crisp up rolls or croissants. Any other type of use can lead to
damage to the appliance or personal injury.
