IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
PLEASE READ THROUGH THEM CAREFULLY AND STORE THEM SAFELY FOR FUTURE USE.
1. WARNING: Before accessing the terminals, all supply circuits must be disconnected.
For the details about the method and frequency of cleaning, take note of the Care and Maintenance
section in these operating instructions.
2. For information about how the appliance is to be xed to its support, please observe the “Installation”
section in these operating instructions.
3. This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or who are lacking in experience and / or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instruction from this person as
to how the appliance is intended to be used
.
4. Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
5. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children.
6. WARNING: The non-tting of the screws or xing devices or tting not in accordance with these
instructions can lead to electrical hazards.
7. Adequate ventilation of the room must be ensured when the appliance is operated at the same time
as appliances that burn gas or other fuels.
8. There is the risk of re if the cleaning is not carried out in accordance with these operating
instructions.
9. CAUTION: The touchable parts of the appliance can become hot when it is used with cooking
utensils.
10. The exhaust air must not be routed through a chimney that is used for the exhaust fumes of devices
that are operated by gas or other fuels.
11. Observe the minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking pans on the hob and
the lowest part of the extractor hood.
12. If the extractor hood is tted above a gas cooker, this distance must be at least 65 cm. If the
installation instructions for the gas appliance specify a greater distance, this must be complied with.
13. The ofcial regulations must be complied with in the separation of the exhaust air.
14. Room air dependent re places, (for example, gas, oil, wood or coal burning heating appliances,
instantaneous water heaters and water heaters) draw combustion air from the room in which they
are installed and route the exhaust fumes to the open air via a ue system (for example, a chimney).
In combination with a switched-on extractor hood, the room air is drawn from the kitchen and the
adjoining rooms – without an adequate supply of incoming air a negative pressure is created.
Poisonous gases from the chimney or ue are drawn back into the living quarters. Risk free
operation is then only possible when the negative pressure in the installation room of the replace
does not exceed 4 Pa (0.04 mbar). This can be achieved if, in combination with a supply air / exhaust
air wall sleeve or through other technical measures, the air required for combustion can ow in
through non-closable openings, for example, in doors or windows.
