DTR (TEMPO RESIDUO DI IMMERSIONE)
L'unità VEO controlla costantemente lo stato di sicurezza e l'ac-
cumulo di ossigeno, visualizzando come DTR, sulla schermata
Immersione in curva principale, il valore minore rilevato. I tempi
visualizzati sono identificati dalle icone NDC oppure O2.
NDC (tempo residuo in curva di sicurezza)
Il tempo residuo in curva (NDC) è il tempo massimo consentito
alla profondità corrente prima di entrare in decompressione.
Viene calcolato in base alla quantità di azoto assorbito da
ipotetici compartimenti.
La velocità di assorbimento e di rilascio di azoto di tali com-
partimenti viene elaborata mediante un modello matematico e
confrontata con il livello massimo consentito di azoto.
Il compartimento che più si avvicina a tale valore massimo
diventa il riferimento per la profondità considerata. Il valore
risultante (NDC) viene visualizzato come DTR (Fig. 50a). Inoltre,
viene visualizzato in formato grafico mediante TLBG (Fig. 50b).
Via via che si risale, i segmenti del grafico TLBG si riducono,
in quanto il controllo viene assunto da compartimenti più len-
ti. Questa caratteristica del modello di decompressione, che
costituisce la base per le immersioni multilivello, è uno dei più
importanti vantaggi offerti dai computer subacquei Oceanic.
