RILEVAMENTO E REGOLAZIONE DELL'ALTITUDINE
L'altitudine (ossia la pressione ambiente) viene misurata al momento dell'attivazione e
successivamente ogni 15 minuti, fino a quando non viene effettuata un'immersione.
> Le misurazioni vengono effettuate solo quando lo strumento è asciutto.
> Vengono rilevate due letture con un intervallo di 5 secondi. Per poter considerare tale
pressione ambiente come l'attuale parametro Altitudine, è necessario che lo scarto tra
queste letture non superi 1 ft (30 cm).
> Se i contatti umidi sono ponticellati non viene effettuata alcuna correzione.
> In caso di immersioni ad alta quota, da 3,001 a 14,000 ft (916 - 4.270 m), il VEO
si adegua automaticamente a tali condizioni, fornendo valori di profondità corretti e
tempi in curva e di O2 ridotti ad intervalli di 1,000 ft (305 m).
> Quando la funzione fattore conservativo è impostata su ON, le curve di sicurezza
vengono calcolate in base al successivo valore di altitudine superiore di 3,000 ft
(915 m).
> A livello del mare, i calcoli vengono eseguiti su un'altitudine di 6,000 ft.
> Tutte le regolazioni apportate ai tempi di immersione consentiti per valori di altitudine
superiori a 11,000 ft (3.355 m), ad esempio, vengono effettuate per 14,000 ft
(4.270 m).
> Il VEO non funziona come computer subacqueo ad un'altitudine superiore a 14,000
ft (4.270 m).
