PREPARACIÓN Y USO DE LA MÁSCARA
Antes de utilizar la máscara por primera vez, lave bien ambas caras de la lente utilizando
un detergente líquido no abrasivo** o pasta de dientes, para eliminar cualquier resto de
suciedad (**Oceanic recomienda el limpiador Sea Buff™ de McNett). A continuación,
enjuague bien la máscara con agua dulce.
Para evitar que la máscara se empañe durante el uso, frote la cara interior y el sistema
óptico de la lente, cuando todavía estén secos, con una solución antiempañamiento** o
con saliva (**Oceanic recomienda el gel antiempañamiento Sea Gold™ de McNett). A
continuación, enjuague la máscara con agua dulce.
Coloque la máscara sobre su rostro y tire de la correa por encima de su cabeza, del mismo
modo que lo haría con una máscara de buceo. Ajuste la correa para que la máscara quede
colocada cómoda y firmemente sobre su rostro, sin que apriete demasiado.
Para vaciar el agua que entre en la máscara cuando esté buceando, incline la cabeza hacia
atrás y espire suavemente dentro de la máscara, a la vez que aprieta con sus dedos la parte
superior de la montura, del mismo modo que lo haría con una máscara de buceo. El agua
saldrá por el borde inferior.
Para evitar que la máscara apriete demasiado por las altas presiones que se registran al
bucear a ciertas profundidades, espire lentamente por la nariz a medida que desciende.
Para equilibrar la presión de los oídos, tápese la nariz con los dedos pulgar e índice y sople
suavemente manteniendo la boca cerrada.
