RILEVAMENTO E REGOLAZIONE DELL’ALTITUDINE
Prima di effettuare la prima di una serie di immersioni ripetitive viene misurata l’ALTITUDINE
(ossia la pressione ambiente); questo avviene al momento dell’attivazione e successivamente
ogni 15 minuti, fino a quando non viene effettuata l’immersione.
> Le misurazioni vengono effettuate ogni 15 minuti durante le 24 ore seguenti il ritorno in
superficie.
> Le misurazioni vengono effettuate solo quando lo strumento è asciutto.
> Vengono rilevate due letture con un intervallo di 5 secondi. Per poter considerare tale
pressione ambiente come l’attuale parametro ALTITUDINE, è necessario che lo scarto tra
queste letture non superi 1 ft (30 cm) (1 piede).
Il modello matematico impiegato dal DataMask considera dei valori di tempo residuo in curva
minori, basati sulle direttive della NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
In caso di immersioni ad alta quota, da 2,001 a 14,000 ft (611 - 4.270 m), il DataMask si
adegua automaticamente a tali condizioni, fornendo valori di profondità idonei e tempi in
curva e di accumulo di ossigeno ridotti ad intervalli di 1,000 ft (305 m).
> Ad una quota pari a 2,001 ft (611 m), la funzione di taratura della profondità passa
automaticamente da acqua di mare ad acqua dolce. Questa è la prima regolazione in
base all’algoritmo.
> Se i contatti umidi sono ponticellati non viene effettuata alcuna correzione.
