Maintenance / Care / Cleaning
Cleaning the machine
Ensure that the power supply is switched off before any
cleaning, care or maintenance work.
Under no circumstances spray the machine with water.
Do not use solvents! These substances can damage parts
of the machine, produce poisonous vapour and carry the
risk of explosion!
Casings and control areas should only be cleaned with
soap or a commercially available, solvent-free, non-abrasi-
ve cleaning product.
Emptying the condensed water
(Not necessary on machines with direct drainage)
Condensed water is not drinking water!
The condensed water collected from drying is collected in
a container which must be emptied after each use.
1. Pull out the container.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Pour out the condensed water.
4. Close the cover
5. Slide the container all the way back in. You can also
empty the condensed water container while a programme
is running.
If the display «Empty Container» lights up during operati-
on and an audible signal is heard, the container must be
emptied immediately.
X Then continue the programme by pressing the start
button.
Cleaning the filter
When fabrics are used, the fibres are rubbed (laundry
fluff), which are released when the fabrics are dried,
collecting in the filter on the inside of the door. The fluff
filter must therefore be cleaned after every use.
1. Press the door open button.
2. Remove the filter.
3. Rub your hand over the filter and remove the fluff. It is pos-
sible that a filter that appears to be properly clean may
become impermeable due to fine, invisible deposits remai-
ning in the filter mesh. Hold the filter with one flat surface
upwards and pour a little water on to it. If it is impermea-
ble, clean the filter with a brush under running water.
3.1 From time to time, it is necessary to clean the filter holder.
Use a vacuum cleaner or cleaning brush.
3.2 Run the pipe of the vacuum cleaner or the brush around
the opening for the fluff filter. Remove any residual fluff.
4. Replace the filter properly.
5. Close the door.
Cleaning the air cooler
The air cooler elements should be cleaned 3 - 4 times a
year, or more often if used frequently.
