Montage und Inbetriebnahme des Geräts. Bei Verletzungen
oder Schäden infolge nicht ordnungsgemäßer Montage oder
Verwendung des Geräts übernimmt der Hersteller keine
Haftung. Bewahren Sie die Anleitung immer an einem sicheren
und zugänglichen Ort zum späteren Nachschlagen auf.

• Dieses Gerät kann dann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und von
Personen mit eingeschränkten Fähigkeiten bedient werden,
wenn sie dabei beaufsichtigt werden und/oder ihnen die
sichere Benutzung des Geräts erklärt wurde, und wenn sie
die potenziellen Gefahren der Benutzung kennen.
• Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Belüftungsöffnungen im
Gehäuse, um das Gerät und in der Einbaunische nicht
blockiert sind.
• Versuchen Sie nicht, den Abtauvorgang durch andere als
vom Hersteller empfohlene mechanische oder sonstige
Hilfsmittel zu beschleunigen.
• Beschädigen Sie nicht den Kältekreislauf.
• Betreiben Sie in den Lebensmittelfächern des Geräts keine
anderen als die vom Hersteller empfohlenen Elektrogeräte.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht mit einem Wasser- oder
Dampfstrahl.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch.
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Neutralreiniger. Benutzen Sie
keine Scheuermittel, scheuernde Reinigungsschwämmchen,
Lösungsmittel oder Metallgegenstände.
• Bewahren Sie in dem Gerät keine explosiven Substanzen,
wie Spraydosen mit entzündlichen Treibgasen auf.
• Wenn das Netzkabel beschädigt ist, muss es vom Hersteller,
seinem autorisierten Kundenservice oder einer
gleichermaßen qualifizierten Person ausgetauscht werden,
um Gefahrenquellen zu vermeiden.
SICHERHEITSANWEISUNGEN
Montage
WARNUNG! Nur eine
qualifizierte Fachkraft darf den
elektrischen Anschluss des
Geräts vornehmen.
• Entfernen Sie die
Verpackungsmaterialien und die
Transportschrauben.
• Montieren Sie ein beschädigtes Gerät
nicht und benutzen Sie es nicht.
• Halten Sie sich an die mitgelieferte
Montageanleitung.
• Gehen Sie beim Umsetzen des Geräts
vorsichtig vor, da es schwer ist. Tragen
Sie stets Schutzhandschuhe und feste
Schuhe.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Luft um das
Gerät zirkulieren kann.
• Warten Sie mindestens 4 Stunden,
bevor Sie das Gerät an das Stromnetz
anschließen. Dies ist erforderlich, damit
das Öl in den Kompressor zurückfließen
kann.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe
von Heizkörpern, Herden, Backöfen
oder Kochfeldern auf.
• Die Geräterückseite muss gegen die
Wand gestellt werden.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht dort auf, wo
es direktem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt sein
könnte.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht an zu
feuchten oder kalten Orten auf, wie z. B.
in Nebengebäuden, Garagen oder
Weinkellern.
• Wenn Sie das Gerät verschieben
möchten, heben Sie es bitte an der

Vorderkante an, um den Fußboden nicht
zu verkratzen.
Elektrischer Anschluss
WARNUNG! Brand- und
Stromschlaggefahr.
• Das Gerät muss geerdet sein.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die elektrischen
Daten auf dem Typenschild den Daten
Ihrer Stromversorgung entsprechen.
Wenden Sie sich anderenfalls an eine
Elektrofachkraft.
• Schließen Sie das Gerät unbedingt an
eine sachgemäß installierte
Schutzkontaktsteckdose an.
• Verwenden Sie keine
Mehrfachsteckdosen oder
Verlängerungskabel.
• Achten Sie darauf, elektrische Bauteile
(wie Netzstecker, Netzkabel und
Kompressor) nicht zu beschädigen.
Wenden Sie sich an den autorisierten
Kundendienst oder einen Elektriker, um
die elektrischen Bauteile auszutauschen.
• Das Netzkabel muss unterhalb des
Netzsteckers verlegt werden.
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker erst nach
Abschluss der Montage in die
Steckdose. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der
Netzstecker nach der Montage noch
zugänglich ist.
• Ziehen Sie nicht am Netzkabel, wenn Sie
das Gerät vom Netzstrom trennen
möchten. Ziehen Sie stets am
Netzstecker.
Verwendung
WARNUNG! Es besteht
Verletzungs-, Verbrennungs-,
Stromschlag- und Brandgefahr.
• Nehmen Sie keine technischen
Änderungen am Gerät vor.
• Stellen Sie keine elektrischen Geräte (z.
B. Eisbereiter) in das Gerät, wenn solche
Geräte nicht ausdrücklich vom Hersteller
für diesen Zweck zugelassen sind.
• Achten Sie darauf, den Kältekreislauf
nicht zu beschädigen. Er enthält
Isobutan (R600a), ein Erdgas mit einem
hohen Grad an Umweltverträglichkeit.
Dieses Gas ist brennbar.
• Wird der Kältekreislauf beschädigt,
stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass es keine
Flammen und Zündquellen im Raum
gibt. Belüften Sie den Raum.
• Stellen Sie keine heißen Gegenstände
auf die Kunststoffteile des Geräts.
• Legen Sie Erfrischungsgetränke nicht in
das Gefrierfach. Dadurch entsteht Druck
auf den Getränkebehälter.
• Bewahren Sie keine entzündbaren Gase
und Flüssigkeiten im Gerät auf.
• Platzieren Sie keine entflammbaren
Produkte oder Gegenstände, die mit
entflammbaren Produkten benetzt sind,
im Gerät, auf dem Gerät oder in der
Nähe des Geräts.
• Berühren Sie nicht den Kompressor
oder den Kondensator. Sie sind heiß.
• Nehmen Sie keine Gegenstände aus
dem Gefrierfach bzw. berühren Sie diese
nicht, falls Ihre Hände nass oder feucht
sind.
• Frieren Sie aufgetaute Lebensmittel nicht
wieder ein.
• Befolgen Sie die Hinweise auf der
Verpackung zur Aufbewahrung
tiefgekühlter Lebensmittel.
Innenbeleuchtung
• Der in diesem Gerät verwendete
Lampentyp eignet sich nicht zur
Raumbeleuchtung.
Reinigung und Pflege
WARNUNG! Verletzungsgefahr
sowie Risiko von Schäden am
Gerät.
• Schalten Sie das Gerät immer aus und
ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose, bevor Reinigungsarbeiten
durchgeführt werden.
• Der Kältekreis des Gerätes enthält
Kohlenwasserstoffe. Das Gerät muss
von einer qualifizierten Fachkraft
gewartet und nachgefüllt werden.
• Prüfen Sie regelmäßig den
Wasserabfluss des Geräts und reinigen
Sie ihn gegebenenfalls. Bei verstopftem

Wasserabfluss sammelt sich das
Abtauwasser am Boden des Geräts an.
Entsorgung
WARNUNG! Verletzungs- und
Erstickungsgefahr.
• Trennen Sie das Gerät von der
Stromversorgung.
• Schneiden Sie das Netzkabel ab, und
entsorgen Sie es.
• Entfernen Sie die Tür, um zu verhindern,
dass sich Kinder oder Haustiere in dem
Gerät einschließen.
• Der Kältekreislauf und die
Isolierungsmaterialien dieses Gerätes
sind ozonfreundlich.
• Die Isolierung enthält entzündliches Gas.
Für Informationen zur korrekten
Entsorgung des Gerätes wenden Sie
sich an Ihre kommunale Behörde.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Kühleinheit
in der Nähe des Wärmetauschers nicht
beschädigt wird.

Einschalten des Geräts
1. Stecken Sie den Stecker in die
Netzsteckdose.
2. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler im
Uhrzeigersinn auf eine mittlere
Einstellung.
Die Betriebs-Kontrolllampe leuchtet auf.
Wenn die Temperatur im Innern
des Gerätes zu hoch ist, blinkt
die Alarmleuchte. Schalten Sie
die Funktion ActionFreeze ein.
Ausschalten des Geräts
Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf die
Position OFF.
Temperaturregelung
Die Temperatur im Gerät wird durch den
Temperaturregler, der sich auf dem
Bedienfeld befindet, geregelt.
Bedienen Sie das Gerät wie folgt:

• Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf ,
um die minimal mögliche Kühlung zu
erreichen.
• Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf ,
um die maximal mögliche Kühlung zu
erreichen.
Eine mittlere Einstellung ist im
Allgemeinen am besten
geeignet.
Allerdings muss für eine exakte
Einstellung berücksichtigt
werden, dass die Temperatur im
Innern des Geräts von
verschiedenen Faktoren
abhängt:
• Raumtemperatur
• Häufigkeit der Türöffnung
• Menge der eingelagerten
Lebensmittel
• Standort des Geräts.
Temperaturwarnung
Ein Anstieg der Temperatur im Gefriergerät
(zum Beispiel aufgrund eines Stromausfalls)
wird wie folgt angezeigt:
• Durch das Blinken der Alarmanzeige
• Durch das Ertönen eines Alarmsignals
In der Alarmphase kann der Summer durch
Drücken des Alarm-Rückstellschalters
ausgeschaltet werden.
Bitte legen Sie während der Alarmphase
keine Lebensmittel in das Gefriergerät ein.
Sobald die normalen Bedingungen wieder
hergestellt sind, schaltet sich die
Alarmanzeige automatisch aus.
Funktion ActionFreeze
Der Gefrierraum eignet sich zum Lagern
gefrorener und tiefgefrorener Lebensmittel
über einen längeren Zeitraum sowie zum
Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel.
Kühlen Sie das Gerät 24 Stunden, bevor
Sie einzufrierende Lebensmittel in das
Gefriergerät legen.
Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden.
Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums keine
weiteren Lebensmittel in das Gefriergerät.
Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln, die
in 24 Stunden eingefroren werden kann, ist
auf dem Typenschild angegeben.
Drücken Sie zum Einschalten der Funktion
ActionFreeze die Taste ActionFreeze.
Die Kontrolllampe ActionFreeze leuchtet
auf.
Diese Funktion endet automatisch nach 52
Stunden.
Diese Funktion kann jederzeit durch
Drücken der Taste ActionFreeze
ausgeschaltet werden. Die Kontrolllampe
ActionFreeze erlischt.
ERSTE INBETRIEBNAHME
Reinigen des Innenraums
Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen,
beseitigen Sie den typischen "Neugeruch"
am besten durch Auswaschen der
Innenteile mit lauwarmem Wasser und einer
neutralen Seife. Sorgfältig nachtrocknen.
ACHTUNG! Verwenden Sie
keine Reinigungsmittel oder
Scheuerpulver, da diese die
Oberfläche beschädigen.

Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel
Der Gefrierraum eignet sich zum Einfrieren
von frischen Lebensmitteln und zum
längerfristigen Lagern von bereits

gefrorenen und tiefgefrorenen
Lebensmitteln.
Um frische Lebensmittel einzufrieren,
schalten Sie die Funktion ActionFreeze
mindestens 24 Stunden, bevor Sie die
einzufrierenden Lebensmittel in das
Gefrierfach legen, ein.
Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln, die
in 24 Stunden eingefroren werden kann,
finden Sie auf dem Typenschild.

Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden:
Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums keine
weiteren einzufrierenden Lebensmittel in
das Gerät.
Lagern von gefrorenen
Lebensmitteln
Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der ersten
Inbetriebnahme oder nach einer Zeit, in der
das Gerät nicht benutzt wurde, mindestens
2 Stunden lang mit höherer Einstellung
laufen, bevor Sie Lebensmittel in das
Gefrierfach legen.
ACHTUNG! Kam es zum
Beispiel durch einen
Stromausfall, der länger dauerte
als der in der Tabelle mit den
technischen Daten angegebene
Wert (siehe „Lagerzeit bei
Störung“), zu einem ungewollten
Abtauen, dann müssen die
aufgetauten Lebensmittel sehr
rasch verbraucht oder sofort
gekocht und nach dem
Abkühlen erneut eingefroren
werden.
Öffnen und Schließen des
Deckels
ACHTUNG! Ziehen Sie nie mit
großer Kraft am Griff.
Da der Deckel mit einer sehr gut
schließenden Dichtung ausgestattet ist,
kann das Gerät direkt nach dem Schließen
nur sehr schwer geöffnet werden (da sich
im Innern ein Vakuum bildet). Bitte warten
Sie in diesem Fall einige Minuten, bis Sie
das Gerät wieder öffnen.
Das Unterdruckventil hilft Ihnen, den Deckel
zu öffnen.
Sicherheitsverriegelung
Das Gefriergerät ist mit einer
Spezialverriegelung ausgestattet, um eine
versehentliche Verriegelung zu vermeiden.
Die Verriegelung ist so beschaffen, dass Sie
den Schlüssel umdrehen und den Deckel
nur schließen können, wenn Sie den
Schlüssel in die Verriegelung stecken.

Zum Verriegeln des Gefriergeräts
stecken Sie den Schlüssel vorsichtig in
die Verriegelung und drehen Sie ihn im
Uhrzeigersinn in Richtung des Symbols
.

Zum Öffnen des Gefriergeräts stecken
Sie den Schlüssel vorsichtig in die
Verriegelung und drehen Sie ihn gegen
den Uhrzeigersinn in Richtung des
Symbols .
Ersatzschlüssel sind bei Ihrem
lokalen Kundendienst erhältlich.
WARNUNG! Bewahren Sie die
Schlüssel für Kinder
unzugänglich auf.
Vergessen Sie nicht, den
Schlüssel aus dem Schloss zu
nehmen, wenn Sie das alte
Gerät entsorgen.
Gefrierkalender
Die Symbole zeigen verschiedene Arten
gefrorener Lebensmittel an.
Die Zahlen geben die Lagerzeiten in
Monaten für das entsprechende Gefriergut
an. Es hängt von der Qualität der
Lebensmittel und ihrer Behandlung vor dem
Einfrieren ab, ob der obere oder der untere
Wert für die angezeigte Lagerzeit gilt.

Einsatzkörbe
Hängen Sie die Körbe auf die Oberkante
des Gefriergeräts (A) oder in das Innere des
Geräts (B). Drehen und fixieren Sie die Griffe
in diesen beiden Positionen wie in der
Abbildung gezeigt.

Körbe in die verschiedenen
Gefriergerätemodelle eingesetzt werden
können.
Die Körbe schieben sich dann ineinander.

Hinweise zum Einfrieren
Im Folgenden finden Sie wertvolle Tipps für
das optimale Einfrieren von Lebensmitteln:
• Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln,
die in 24 Stunden eingefroren werden
kann, ist auf dem Typschild angegeben.
• Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden.
Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums
keine weiteren einzufrierenden
Lebensmittel in das Gerät.
• Frieren Sie ausschließlich frische und
gründlich gewaschene Lebensmittel von
sehr guter Qualität ein.
• Teilen Sie die Lebensmittel in kleinere
Portionen ein, damit diese schnell und
vollständig gefrieren und Sie später nur
die Menge auftauen müssen, die Sie
gerade benötigen.
• Die einzufrierenden
Lebensmittelportionen sollten stets
luftdicht in Aluminiumfolie oder in
lebensmittelechte Polythenbeutel
verpackt werden.
• Achten Sie beim Hineinlegen von
frischen, noch ungefrorenen
Lebensmitteln darauf, dass sie keinen
Kontakt mit Gefriergut bekommen, da
diese sonst antauen können.
• Weniger fetthaltige Lebensmittel lassen
sich besser lagern als fetthaltigere; Salz
führt zu einer Verminderung der
maximalen Einlagerungszeit von
Lebensmitteln.
• Werden Eiswürfel direkt nach der
Entnahme aus dem Gefrierfach
verwendet, können sie Frostbrand auf
der Haut verursachen.
• Es empfiehlt sich, das Einfrierdatum auf
jeder einzelnen Packung zu notieren, um
einen genauen Überblick über die
Lagerzeit zu haben.

Hinweise zur Lagerung
gefrorener Lebensmittel
So erzielen Sie die besten Ergebnisse mit
Ihrem Gerät:
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die
gefrorenen Lebensmittel vom Händler
angemessen gelagert wurden.
• Achten Sie unbedingt darauf, die
eingekauften gefrorenen Lebensmittel in
der kürzest möglichen Zeit in Ihr
Gefriergerät zu bringen.
• Öffnen Sie den Deckel nicht zu häufig,
und lassen Sie ihn nicht länger offen als
unbedingt notwendig.
• Aufgetaute Lebensmittel verderben sehr
schnell und eignen sich nicht für ein
erneutes Einfrieren.
• Das Haltbarkeitsdatum auf der
Tiefkühlkostverpackung sollte nicht
überschritten werden.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE

Regelmäßige Reinigung
ACHTUNG! Ziehen Sie vor
jeder Wartungsmaßnahme
immer den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose.
Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung des
Innenraums keinesfalls
Putzmittel, Scheuerpulver, stark
parfümierte Reinigungsmittel
oder Wachspolituren.
Bitte achten Sie darauf, das
Kühlsystem nicht zu
beschädigen.
Der Kompressorbereich braucht
nicht gereinigt zu werden.

Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
2.
Reinigen Sie Gerät und Zubehörteile
regelmäßig mit warmem Wasser und
neutraler Seife.
Wischen Sie vorsichtig die
Deckeldichtung ab.
3. Trocknen Sie das Gerät vollständig ab.
4. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die
Netzsteckdose.
5. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
Abtauen des Gefriergeräts
ACHTUNG! Verwenden Sie
niemals scharfe Gegenstände
zum Entfernen von Reif und Eis,
da diese das Gerät beschädigen
können. Versuchen Sie nicht,
den Abtauvorgang durch andere
als vom Hersteller empfohlene
mechanische oder sonstige
Hilfsmittel zu beschleunigen. Ein
Temperaturanstieg des
Gefrierguts während des
Abtauens des Geräts kann die
Lagerzeit dieser Lebensmittel
verkürzen.
Tauen Sie das Gefriergerät ab, wenn die
Reifschicht eine Stärke von etwa 10 bis 15
mm erreicht hat.
Die Reifbildung an den Innenwänden des
Geräts wird durch eine hohe
Luftfeuchtigkeit am Aufstellort und eine
unsachgemäße Verpackung der
Tiefkühlwaren verstärkt.
Die beste Zeit zum Abtauen für das
Gefriergerät ist dann, wenn es nur wenig
oder keine Lebensmittel enthält.
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
2. Nehmen Sie das gesamte Gefriergut
heraus, verpacken Sie es in mehrere
Schichten Zeitungspapier und lagern
Sie es an einem kühlen Ort.
3. Lassen Sie den Deckel offen, ziehen Sie
den Stopfen aus dem Tauwasserablauf

und fangen Sie das Tauwasser in einer
Schale auf.
4. Ist das Geräteinnere vollständig
abgetaut, trocken Sie die nassen
Oberflächen gründlich ab und setzen
Sie den Stopfen wieder ein.
5. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
6. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf
eine höhere Einstellung, um die maximal
mögliche Kühlung zu erreichen, und
lassen Sie das Gerät zwei bis drei
Stunden mit dieser Einstellung laufen.
7. Legen Sie die ausgelagerten
Lebensmittel wieder in das Fach hinein.
Stillstandszeiten
Bei längerem Stillstand des Geräts müssen
Sie folgende Vorkehrungen treffen:
1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und trennen
Sie es von der Stromversorgung.
2. Entnehmen Sie alle Lebensmittel
3. Tauen Sie das Gerät ab; reinigen Sie
den Innenraum und das gesamte
Zubehör.
4. Lassen Sie den Deckel offen, um das
Entstehen unangenehmer Gerüche zu
vermeiden.
Möchten Sie bei einer längeren
Abwesenheit das Gerät
weiterlaufen lassen, bitten Sie
jemanden, gelegentlich die
Temperatur zu prüfen, damit
das Kühlgut bei einem
möglichen Stromausfall nicht im
Innern des Geräts verdirbt.

Was tun, wenn ...

Das Gerät funktioniert nicht. Das Gerät ist ausgeschaltet. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.

der Steckdose an.
Schließen Sie das Gerät an
eine andere Steckdose an.
Wenden Sie sich an eine
Elektrofachkraft.
Das Gerät erzeugt Geräu-
sche.
Das Gerät ist nicht ordnungs-
gemäß aufgestellt.
Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Ge-
rät stabil steht.
Es wird ein akustisches oder
optisches Alarmsignal ausge-
löst.
Das Gerät wurde erst kürzlich
eingeschaltet, oder die Tem-
peratur im Gerät ist zu hoch.

Wenn das Problem weiterhin
auftritt, wenden Sie sich an

Austauschen der Lampe
WARNUNG! Nehmen Sie die
Lampenabdeckung zur Zeit des
Austauschs nicht ab. Benutzen
Sie das Gefriergerät nicht, wenn
die Lampenabdeckung
beschädigt ist oder fehlt.
1. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der
Netzsteckdose.
2. Ersetzen Sie die alte Lampe durch eine
Lampe mit der gleichen Leistung (die
maximal erlaubte Leistung steht auf der
Lampenabdeckung), die speziell für
Haushaltsgeräte vorgesehen ist.

3. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die
Netzsteckdose.
4. Öffnen Sie den Deckel. Prüfen Sie, ob
die Lampe aufleuchtet.

• Attendez au moins 4 heures avant de
brancher l'appareil sur le secteur. Cela
permet à l'huile de refouler dans le
compresseur.
• N'installez pas l'appareil à proximité d'un
radiateur, d'une cuisinière, d'un four ou
d'une table de cuisson.
• La surface arrière de l'appareil doit être

Connexion électrique

composants électriques tels que la fiche

changer les composants électriques.
• Le câble d'alimentation doit rester en
dessous du niveau de la fiche secteur.
• Ne branchez la fiche d'alimentation à la
prise de courant qu'à la fin de
l'installation. Assurez-vous que la prise
de courant est accessible une fois
l'appareil installé.
• Ne tirez jamais sur le câble
d'alimentation pour débrancher
l'appareil. Tirez toujours sur la fiche.
Usage

• Évitez tout contact d'éléments chauds
avec les parties en plastique de
l'appareil.
• Ne placez jamais de boissons gazeuses
dans le congélateur. Cela engendrerait
une pression sur le récipient de la
boisson.
• Ne stockez jamais de gaz ou de liquide
inflammable dans l'appareil.
• Ne placez pas de produits inflammables
ou d'éléments imbibés de produits
inflammables à l'intérieur ou à proximité
de l'appareil, ni sur celui-ci.
• Ne touchez pas le compresseur ni le
condenseur. Ils sont chauds.
• Ne retirez pas et ne touchez pas les
éléments du compartiment congélateur
avec les mains mouillées ou humides.
• Ne recongelez jamais un aliment qui a
été décongelé.
• Respectez les instructions de stockage
figurant sur l'emballage des aliments
surgelés.
Éclairage interne
• Le type d'ampoule utilisé dans cet
appareil n'est pas adapté à l'éclairage
de votre habitation.
Entretien et nettoyage

La température à l'intérieur de l'appareil est
contrôlée par un thermostat situé sur le
bandeau de commande.
Pour utiliser l'appareil, procédez comme

tournez le thermostat vers .
• pour obtenir le maximum de froid,
tournez le thermostat vers .
Un réglage intermédiaire est
généralement le plus indiqué.
Toutefois, on obtiendra le
réglage exact en tenant compte
du fait que la température à
l'intérieur de l'appareil dépend
de plusieurs facteurs :
• la température ambiante
• la fréquence d'ouverture du
couvercle
• la quantité d'aliments
stockés
• l'emplacement de l'appareil.
Alarme haute température
Une augmentation de la température dans
le congélateur (par exemple à cause d'une
panne de courant) est indiquée par :
• l'activation du voyant Alarme
• l'alarme sonore se fait entendre
Pendant la phase d'alarme, l'alarme sonore
peut être désactivée en appuyant sur la
touche de réinitialisation d'alarme
Pendant la phase d'alarme, ne placez
aucun aliment à l'intérieur du compartiment
congélateur.
Une fois les conditions normales de
fonctionnement rétablies, le voyant Alarme
s'éteint automatiquement.
Fonction ActionFreeze
Le compartiment congélateur est idéal pour
une conservation à long terme des aliments
surgelés et congelés industriellement, et
pour congeler des aliments frais.
Placez les aliments dans le congélateur
après avoir laissé l'appareil refroidir pendant
24 heures
Le processus de congélation est de
24 heures. Vous ne devez ajouter aucun
autre aliment dans le congélateur pendant
cette période. La quantité maximale
d'aliments que vous pouvez congeler en
24 heures est indiquée sur la plaque
signalétique.
Pour activer la fonction ActionFreeze,
appuyez sur la touche ActionFreeze.
Le voyant ActionFreeze s'allume.
Cette fonction s'arrête automatiquement au
bout de 52 heures.
Il est possible de désactiver cette fonction à
tout moment en appuyant sur la touche
ActionFreeze. Le voyant ActionFreeze
s'éteint.
PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Nettoyage de l'intérieur
Avant d'utiliser l'appareil pour la première
fois, nettoyez l'intérieur et tous les
accessoires avec de l'eau tiède savonneuse
(pour supprimer toute odeur de neuf), puis
séchez-les soigneusement.
ATTENTION! N'utilisez jamais
de produits abrasifs ou
caustiques car ils pourraient
endommager le revêtement.
UTILISATION QUOTIDIENNE
AVERTISSEMENT! Reportez-
vous aux chapitres concernant
la sécurité.
Congeler les aliments frais
Le compartiment congélateur est idéal pour
congeler des aliments frais et conserver à
long terme des aliments congelés ou
surgelés.

Activez la fonction ActionFreeze 24 heures
au moins avant d'introduire les denrées
fraîches à congeler dans le compartiment
congélateur.
La quantité maximale d'aliments frais que
vous pouvez congeler par tranche de
24 heures est indiquée sur la plaque
signalétique.

Conservation d'aliments
congelés et surgelés
À la mise en service ou après un arrêt
prolongé, placez le thermostat sur la
position maximale pendant 2 heures
environ avant d'introduire les produits dans
le compartiment.
ATTENTION! En cas de
décongélation accidentelle, due
par exemple à une coupure de
courant, si la coupure a duré
plus de temps qu'indiqué au
paragraphe « Autonomie de
fonctionnement » du chapitre
« Caractéristiques techniques »,
consommez rapidement les
aliments décongelés ou cuisez-
les immédiatement avant de les
recongeler (une fois refroidis).
Ouverture et fermeture du
couvercle
ATTENTION! Ne tirez jamais
violemment sur la poignée.
Le couvercle est équipé d'un joint
d'étanchéité qui empêche l'humidité de
pénétrer dans la cuve et de nuire à la
production de froid. Le couvercle est alors
difficile à ouvrir juste après que vous l'ayez
refermé (création d'un vide d'air). Attendez
quelques minutes et le couvercle s'ouvrira
sans difficulté.
La valve d'évacuation d'air facilite
l'ouverture du couvercle.
Serrure
Le congélateur est équipé d'une serrure
constituant une sécurité enfant. La serrure
est conçue de manière à ce que vous
puissiez tourner la clé et fermer le couvercle
uniquement si vous avez préalablement
inséré la clé dans la serrure.
1. Pour verrouiller le congélateur,
introduisez doucement la clé dans la
serrure et tournez-la dans le sens des
aiguilles d'une montre vers le symbole
.

doucement la clé dans la serrure et

Conseils pour la congélation
Voici quelques conseils pour exploiter au
mieux les avantages de votre appareil :
• Respectez le pouvoir de congélation de
votre appareil (c'est-à-dire la quantité
maximale de denrées fraîches que vous
pouvez congeler par 24 heures) qui
figure sur la plaque signalétique.
• Le temps de congélation est de 24
heures. N'ajoutez pas d'autres aliments
à congeler pendant cette période.
• Congelez seulement les denrées
alimentaires fraîches, de qualité
supérieure (une fois nettoyées).
• Préparez la nourriture en petits paquets
adaptés à l'importance de la
consommation pour une congélation
rapide et uniforme.
• Enveloppez les aliments dans des
feuilles d'aluminium ou de polyéthylène
et assurez-vous que les emballages sont
étanches.
• Ne laissez pas des aliments frais, non
congelés, toucher des aliments déjà
congelés pour éviter une remontée en
température de ces derniers.
• Les aliments maigres se conservent
mieux et plus longtemps que les
aliments gras ; le sel réduit la durée de
conservation des aliments.
• La température très basse à laquelle se
trouvent les bâtonnets glacés, s'ils sont
consommés dès leur sortie du
compartiment congélateur, peut
provoquer des brûlures.
• L'identification des emballages est
importante : indiquez la date de
congélation du produit, et respectez la
durée de conservation indiquée par le
fabricant.

Conseils pour le stockage des
aliments surgelés
Pour obtenir les meilleures performances
possibles :
• assurez-vous que les denrées surgelées
achetées dans le commerce ont été
correctement entreposées par le
revendeur ;
• prévoyez un temps réduit au minimum
pour le transport des denrées du
magasin à votre domicile ;
• évitez d'ouvrir trop souvent le couvercle
du congélateur et ne le laissez ouvert
que le temps nécessaire.
• Une fois décongelés, les aliments se
détériorent rapidement et ne peuvent
être recongelés.
• Ne dépassez pas la durée de
conservation indiquée par le fabricant.
ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE

Nettoyage périodique
ATTENTION! Débranchez
l'appareil avant toute opération
d'entretien et de nettoyage.
N'utilisez jamais de détergents,
de produits abrasifs, de produits
de nettoyage très parfumés ni
d'encaustiques pour nettoyer
l'intérieur de votre appareil.
Veillez à ne pas endommager le
système de réfrigération.
Il n'est pas nécessaire de
nettoyer la zone du
compresseur.

Nettoyez l'appareil et les accessoires
régulièrement avec de l'eau chaude et
un détergent doux.
Nettoyez soigneusement les joints du
couvercle.
3. Séchez soigneusement l'appareil.
4. Branchez l'appareil sur le secteur.
5. Mettez l'appareil en marche.
Dégivrage du congélateur
ATTENTION! N'utilisez jamais
d'objet métallique tranchant
pour gratter le givre car vous
pourriez endommager l'appareil.
N'utilisez aucun dispositif
mécanique ou autre moyen
artificiel pour accélérer le
processus de dégivrage hormis
ceux recommandés par le
fabricant. Une élévation de la
température des denrées
congelées, pendant le
dégivrage, peut réduire leur
durée de conservation.
Dégivrez le congélateur lorsque l'épaisseur
de la couche de givre est comprise entre
10 et 15 mm.
La quantité de givre sur les parois de
l'appareil augmente si l'humidité ambiante
est élevée et si les aliments surgelés ne
sont pas bien emballés.
Il est conseillé de dégivrer le congélateur
lorsqu'il contient peu ou pas d'aliments.
1. Éteignez l'appareil.
2. Sortez les denrées congelées,
enveloppez-les dans plusieurs feuilles
de papier journal et conservez-les dans
un endroit frais.
3. Laissez le couvercle ouvert, retirez le
bouchon de la goulotte d'évacuation de
l'eau de dégivrage, puis recueillez toute
l'eau dans un bac.

4. Une fois le dégivrage terminé, séchez
soigneusement l'intérieur, puis remettez
le bouchon en place.
5. Mettez l'appareil en marche.
6. Réglez le thermostat pour obtenir le
plus de froid possible et faites
fonctionner l'appareil pendant deux ou
trois heures en utilisant ce réglage.
7. Replacez les denrées dans le
compartiment.
En cas de non-utilisation
prolongée
Si l'appareil n'est pas utilisé pendant de
longues périodes, prenez les précautions
suivantes :
1. Éteignez l'appareil et débranchez-le.
2. Retirez tous les aliments
3. Dégivrez et nettoyez l'appareil et tous
les accessoires.
4. Maintenez le couvercle ouvert pendant
toute la durée de non-utilisation pour
éviter la formation d'odeurs.
Si, toutefois, vous n'avez pas la
possibilité de débrancher et de
vider l'appareil, faites vérifier
régulièrement le bon de
fonctionnement de celui-ci en
tenant compte de sa charge et
de son autonomie de
fonctionnement.

modèle et le numéro de série de votre
appareil. Ce numéro se trouve sur la plaque
signalétique, située sur le côté extérieur
droit de l'appareil.
Remplacement de l'éclairage
AVERTISSEMENT! N'enlevez
pas le diffuseur au moment du
remplacement N'utilisez pas le

1. Débranchez la fiche d'alimentation de la
prise secteur.
2. Remplacez l'ampoule défectueuse par
une ampoule neuve de puissance

ATTENZIONE! L’installazione

• Assicurarsi che l'aria possa circolare

• Attendere almeno 4 ore prima di
collegare l'apparecchiatura
all'alimentazione. Questo serve a
consentire all'olio di fluire nuovamente
nel compressore.
• Non installare l'apparecchiatura in
prossimità di radiatori, fornelli, forni o
piani di cottura.
• La superficie posteriore

Collegamento elettrico
ATTENZIONE! Rischio di

messa a terra.
• Verificare che i dati elettrici riportati sulla

contattare un elettricista.

• Accertarsi di non danneggiare i

• Il cavo di alimentazione deve rimanere
sotto il livello della spina di
alimentazione.
• Inserire la spina di alimentazione nella
presa solo al termine dell'installazione.
Verificare che la spina di alimentazione
rimanga accessibile dopo l'installazione.
• Non tirare il cavo di alimentazione per
scollegare l’apparecchiatura. Tirare solo
la spina.
Utilizzo

Regolazione della temperatura
La temperatura all'interno
dell'apparecchiatura è controllata dal
regolatore della temperatura che si trova sul
pannello dei comandi.
Per mettere in funzione l'apparecchiatura,
procedere come segue:

• per ottenere la minima intensità di
raffreddamento, ruotare il regolatore
della temperatura verso .
• per ottenere la massima intensità di
raffreddamento, ruotare il regolatore
della temperatura verso .
In condizioni normali, si consiglia
di utilizzare una regolazione
media.
Tuttavia, è importante ricordare
che la temperatura all'interno
dell'apparecchiatura dipende dai
seguenti fattori:
• temperatura ambiente
• frequenza di apertura del
coperchio
• quantità di alimenti conservati
• posizione
dell'apparecchiatura.
Allarme di alta temperatura
L'eventuale aumento della temperatura
all'interno del congelatore (ad esempio in
seguito a un'interruzione della corrente
elettrica) viene indicato nei seguenti modi:
• la spia di allarme si accende
• emissione di un segnale acustico
Durante la fase di allarme, il segnale
acustico può essere disattivato premendo
l'interruttore di reset dell'allarme
Durante la fase di allarme, non introdurre
alimenti nel congelatore.
Al ripristino delle condizioni normali, la spia
di allarme si spegne automaticamente.
Funzione ActionFreeze
Il vano congelatore è adatto al
congelamento di cibi freschi e alla
conservazione a lungo termine di alimenti
congelati e surgelati.
Introdurre gli alimenti nel congelatore dopo
aver raffreddato l'apparecchiatura per 24
ore.
Il processo di congelamento dura 24 ore;
finché non è concluso, non aggiungere altro
cibo nel congelatore. La quantità massima
di alimenti congelabile in 24 ore è riportata
sulla targhetta di identificazione.
Per attivare la funzione ActionFreeze,
premere l'interruttore ActionFreeze.
La spia ActionFreeze si accende.
Questa funzione si interrompe in modo
automatico dopo 52 ore.
È possibile disattivare la funzione in
qualsiasi momento premendo l'interruttore
ActionFreeze . La spia ActionFreeze si
spegne.

Pulizia dell'interno
Prima di utilizzare l'apparecchiatura per la
prima volta, lavare l'interno e gli accessori

Per congelare alimenti freschi, attivare la
funzione ActionFreeze almeno 24 ore prima
di introdurli nel vano congelatore.
La quantità massima di cibo che può
essere congelata in 24 ore è riportata sulla
targhetta del modello.

Conservazione dei surgelati
Al primo avvio o dopo un periodo di non
utilizzo, lasciare in funzione
l'apparecchiatura per almeno 2 ore con una
regolazione alta prima di introdurre gli
alimenti.
AVVERTENZA! Se si verifica
un'interruzione della corrente
elettrica di durata superiore al

Funzione Sicurezza Bambini
Il congelatore è dotato di uno speciale
dispositivo di blocco che evita la chiusura

solo se è stata precedentemente inserita la
chiave all'interno del dispositivo.

Consigli per il congelamento
Alcuni suggerimenti per sfruttare al meglio il
processo di congelamento:
• La quantità massima di alimenti
congelabile in 24 ore è riportata sulla
targhetta del modello.
• Il processo di congelamento dura 24
ore; finché non è concluso, non
aggiungere altro cibo da congelare.
• Congelare solo alimenti freschi, di ottima
qualità e accuratamente lavati.
• Dividere gli alimenti in piccole porzioni, in
modo da facilitare un congelamento
rapido e consentire lo scongelamento
solo della quantità necessaria.
• Avvolgere gli alimenti in pellicola di
alluminio o politene in modo da evitare il
contatto con l'aria.
• Non disporre gli alimenti freschi a
contatto con quelli già congelati, per
evitare l'innalzamento della temperatura
di questi ultimi.
• Gli alimenti magri si conservano meglio e
più a lungo di quelli ricchi di grassi. Il sale
riduce la durata di conservazione
dell'alimento.
• I ghiaccioli, se consumati appena
prelevati dal vano congelatore, possono
causare ustioni da freddo.
• È consigliabile riportare su ogni
confezione la data di congelamento, in
modo da poter controllare il tempo di
conservazione.
Consigli per la conservazione
dei surgelati
Per ottenere risultati ottimali è consigliabile:
• controllare che i surgelati esposti nei
punti vendita non presentino segni di
interruzione della catena del freddo;
• accertarsi che il tempo di trasferimento
dei surgelati dal punto vendita al
congelatore domestico sia il più breve
possibile;
• Non aprire frequentemente o limitare il
più possibile il tempo di apertura del
coperchio.
• Una volta scongelati, gli alimenti si
deteriorano rapidamente e non possono
essere ricongelati.
• Non superare la durata di conservazione
indicata sulla confezione.

Sbrinamento del congelatore
AVVERTENZA! Per rimuovere
la brina, non usare utensili
metallici appuntiti che possano
danneggiare l'apparecchiatura.
Non usare dispositivi meccanici
o altri mezzi artificiali non
raccomandati dal produttore allo
scopo di accelerare il processo
di sbrinamento. Un aumento
della temperatura dei surgelati
durante lo sbrinamento può
ridurre la loro durata di
conservazione.
Quando tale strato raggiunge uno spessore
di circa 10 - 15 mm, è necessario
procedere allo sbrinamento del vano
congelatore.
Il quantitativo di accumulo di ghiaccio sulle
pareti interne dell'apparecchiatura è
destinato ad aumentare in funzione del
livello elevato dell'umidità ambiente esterna
e se il cibo non è avvolto accuratamente.
Preferibilmente, sbrinare il congelatore
quando il contenuto di surgelati è minimo.
1. Spegnere l'apparecchiatura.
2. Rimuovere i surgelati, avvolgerli in alcuni
strati di carta di giornale e riporli in un
luogo fresco.
3.
Lasciare il coperchio aperto, rimuovere
il tappo dal canale di scarico dell'acqua
di sbrinamento e raccogliere
quest'ultima in una bacinella.
4.
Una volta completato lo sbrinamento,
asciugare accuratamente l'interno e
reinserire la spina.
5.
Accendere l’apparecchiatura.
6.
Impostare il regolatore di temperatura al
livello massimo di raffreddamento e
lasciare in funzione l'apparecchiatura in
questo modo per due o tre ore.
7. Reintrodurre nel congelatore gli alimenti
precedentemente rimossi.
Periodi di non utilizzo
Se l'apparecchiatura non viene utilizzata per
un lungo periodo, adottare le seguenti
precauzioni:
1. Spegnere l'apparecchiatura e
scollegare l'apparecchiatura
dall'allacciamento elettrico.
2. Estrarre tutti gli alimenti
3. Sbrinare e pulire l'apparecchiatura e
tutti gli accessori
4. Lasciare il coperchio aperto per evitare
la formazione di odori sgradevoli
Se l'apparecchiatura rimane
accesa, farla controllare
periodicamente per evitare che

Installation
WARNING! Only a qualified
person must install this

• Remove all the packaging and the transit
bolts.
• Do not install or use a damaged
appliance.
• Follow the installation instruction
supplied with the appliance.
• Always take care when moving the
appliance as it is heavy. Always use
safety gloves and enclosed footwear.
• Make sure the air can circulate around
the appliance.
• Wait at least 4 hours before connecting
the appliance to the power supply. This
is to allow the oil to flow back in the
compressor.
• Do not install the appliance close to
radiators or cookers, oven or hobs.
• The rear of the appliance must stand
against the wall.
• Do not install the appliance where there
is direct sunlight.
• Do not install this appliance in areas that
are too humid or too colds, such as the
construction appendices, garages or
wine cellars.
• When you move the appliance, lift it by
the front edge to avoid scratching the
floor.
Electrical connection
WARNING! Risk of fire and

• The appliance must be earthed.
• Make sure that the electrical information
on the rating plate agrees with the
power supply. If not, contact an
electrician.
• Always use a correctly installed
shockproof socket.
• Do not use multi-plug adapters and
extension cables.

electrical components (e.g. mains plug,
mains cable, compressor). Contact the
Authorised Service Centre or an

• The mains cable must stay below the
level of the mains plug.

Make sure that there is access to the

• Do not pull the mains cable to
disconnect the appliance. Always pull

Use

burns, electrical shock or fire.
• Do not change the specification of this
appliance.
• Do not put electrical appliances (e.g. ice
cream makers) in the appliance unless
they are stated applicable by the
manufacturer.
• Be careful not to cause damage to the
refrigerant circuit. It contains isobutane
(R600a), a natural gas with a high level of
environmental compatibility. This gas is
flammable.
• If damage occurs to the refrigerant
circuit, make sure that there are no
flames and sources of ignition in the
room. Ventilate the room.
• Do not let hot items to touch the plastic
parts of the appliance.
• Do not put soft drinks in the freezer
compartment. This will create pressure
on the drink container.
• Do not store flammable gas and liquid in
the appliance.
• Do not put flammable products or items
that are wet with flammable products in,
near or on the appliance.
• Do not touch the compressor or the
condenser. They are hot.
• Do not remove or touch items from the
freezer compartment if your hands are
wet or damp.
• Do not freeze again food that has been
thawed.
• Obey the storage instructions on the
packaging of frozen food.

is not suitable for household room

Care and cleaning

• Before maintenance, deactivate the
appliance and disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket.
• This appliance contains hydrocarbons in
the cooling unit. Only a qualified person
must do the maintenance and the
recharging of the unit.
• Regularly examine the drain of the
appliance and if necessary, clean it. If
the drain is blocked, defrosted water
collects in the bottom of the appliance.
Disposal

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply.
• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.
• Remove the door to prevent children
and pets to be closed inside of the
appliance.
• The refrigerant circuit and the insulation
materials of this appliance are ozone-

• The insulation foam contains flammable
gas. Contact your municipal authority for
information on how to discard the

• Do not cause damage to the part of the
cooling unit that is near the heat

Switching on
1. Insert the plug into the wall socket.
2. Turn the Temperature regulator
clockwise to a medium setting.
The power indicator light will light up.
If the temperature inside the
appliance is too high the Alarm
light will blink. Active the
ActionFreeze function.
Switching off
Turn the Temperature regulator to the OFF
position.
Temperature regulation
The temperature within the appliance is
controlled by the Temperature Regulator
situated on the control panel.
To operate the appliance, proceed as
follows:
• to obtain the minimum coldness, turn
the Temperature regulator towards .
• to obtain the maximum coldness, turn
the Temperature regulator towards .
A medium setting is generally
the most suitable.
However, the exact setting
should be chosen keeping in
mind that the temperature inside
the appliance depends on:
• room temperature
• how often the lid is opened
• the quantity of food stored
• the location of the appliance.
High temperature alarm
An increase in the temperature in the
freezer (for example due to an power failure)
is indicated by:
• switching on of the Alarm light
• sounding of buzzer
During the alarm phase, the buzzer can be
switched off by pressing the Alarm reset
switch.
During the alarm phase, don't place food
inside the freezer.
When normal conditions are restored the
Alarm light will switch off automatically.

ActionFreeze function
The freezer compartment is suitable for
long term storage of commercially frozen
and deep-frozen food, and for freezing
fresh food.
Place food in the freezer after a pre-cooling
the appliance for 24 hours.
The freezing process takes 24 hours.
During this period do not put other food in
the freezer. The maximum quantity of foods
to freeze in 24 hours is shown on the serial
number plate.
To activate the ActionFreeze function, press
the ActionFreeze switch.
The ActionFreeze light will light up.
This function stops automatically after 52
hours.
It is possible to deactivate the function at
any time by pressing ActionFreeze switch.
The ActionFreeze light will switch off.
FIRST USE
Cleaning the interior
Before using the appliance for the first time,
the interior and all internal accessories
should be washed with lukewarm water
and some neutral soap to remove the
typical smell of a brand-new product, then
dried thoroughly.
CAUTION! Do not use
detergents or abrasive powders,
as these will damage the finish.

Freezing fresh food
The freezer compartment is suitable for
freezing fresh food and storing frozen and
deep-frozen food for a long time.
To freeze fresh food activate the
ActionFreeze function at least 24 hours
before placing the food to be frozen in the
freezer compartment.
The maximum amount of food that can be
frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rating
plate.

The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during
this period do not add other food to be
frozen.
Storage of frozen food
When first starting-up or after a period out
of use, before putting the products in the
compartment let the appliance run at least
2 hours on the higher settings.
CAUTION! In the event of
accidental defrosting, for
example due to a power failure,
if the power has been off for
longer than the value shown in
the technical characteristics
chart under "rising time", the
defrosted food must be
consumed quickly or cooked
immediately and then re-frozen
(after cooling).
Opening and closing the lid
CAUTION! Never pull the
handle with immense force.
As the lid is equipped with a tightly closing
seal, it is not easy to reopen it shortly after
closing (due to the vacuum formed inside).
Wait for few minutes before reopening the
appliance.

The vacuum valve will help you to open the
lid.
Security lock
The freezer is equipped with a special lock
in order to avoid accidental locking. The
lock is designed in such manner that you
can turn the key and thus close the lid only
if you previously push the key into the lock.
1. To lock the freezer, push the key into
the lock gently and turn the key
clockwise towards the symbol
.

To open the freezer, push the key into
the lock gently and turn the key
counter-clockwise towards the symbol
.
Spare keys are available at the
local Service Centre.
WARNING! Keep the keys well
away from children.
Make sure to remove the key
from the lock before you discard
the old appliance.
Freezing Calendar
The symbols show different types of frozen
goods.
The numbers indicate storage times in
months for the appropriate types of frozen
goods. Whether the upper or lower value of
the indicated storage time is valid depends
on the quality of the foods and treating
before freezing.
Storage baskets
Hang the baskets on the upper edge of the
freezer (A) or place them inside the freezer
(B). Turn and fix the handles for these two
positions as shown in the picture.

Hints for freezing
To help you make the most of the freezing
process, here are some hints:

• The maximum quantity of food which
can be frozen in 24 hours is shown on
the rating plate.
• The freezing process takes 24 hours. No
further food to be frozen should be
added during this period.
• Freeze only top quality, fresh and
thoroughly cleaned foodstuffs.
• Prepare food in small portions to enable
it to be rapidly and completely frozen
and to make it possible subsequently to
thaw only the quantity required.
• Wrap up the food in aluminium foil or
polythene and make sure that the
packages are airtight.
• Do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to
touch food which is already frozen, thus
avoiding a rise in temperature of the
latter.
• Lean foods store better and longer than
fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life
of food.
• Water ices, if consumed immediately
after removal from the freezer
compartment, can possibly cause the
skin to be freeze burnt.
• It is advisable to show the freezing in
date on each individual pack to enable
you to keep tab of the storage time.
Hints for storage of frozen food
To obtain the best performance from this
appliance, you should:
• make sure that the commercially frozen
foodstuffs were adequately stored by the
retailer;
• be sure that frozen foodstuffs are
transferred from the store to the freezer
in the shortest possible time;
• not open the lid frequently or leave it
open longer than absolutely necessary.
• Once defrosted, food deteriorates
rapidly and cannot be refrozen.
• Do not exceed the storage period
indicated by the food manufacturer.

compressor area.

Defrosting the freezer
CAUTION! Never use sharp
metal tools to scrape off frost as
you could damage the
appliance. Do not use a
mechanical device or any
artificial means to speed up the
thawing process other than
those recommended by the
manufacturer. A temperature
rise of the frozen food packs,
during defrosting, may shorten
their safe storage life.
Defrost the freezer when the frost layer
reaches a thickness of about 10-15 mm.

The amount of frost on the walls of the
appliance will be increased by the high level
of the outer environment humidity and if the
frozen food is not wrapped properly.
The best time to defrost the freezer when it
contains no or only a little food.
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in
several layers of newspaper and put it in
a cool place.
3. Leave the lid open , remove the plug
from the defrost water drain and collect
all defrost water on a tray.
4.
When defrosting is completed, dry the
interior thoroughly and refit the plug.
5.
Switch on the appliance.
6.
Set the temperature regulator to obtain
the maximum coldness and run the
appliance for two or three hours using
this setting.
7. Reload the previously removed food
into the compartment.
Periods of non-operation
When the appliance is not in use for long
periods, take the following precautions:
1. Switch off the appliance and disconnect
the appliance from electricity supply.
2. Remove all food
3. Defrost and clean the appliance and all
accessories.
4. Leave the lid open to prevent
unpleasant smells.
If the cabinet will be kept on,
ask somebody to check it once
in a while to prevent the food
inside from spoiling in case of a
power failure.

Replacing the lamp
WARNING! Do not remove the
lamp cover at the time of
replacement. Do not operate the
freezer if the lamp cover is
damaged or missing.

2. Replace the used lamp with a new lamp
of the same power and specifically
designed for household appliances (the
maximum power is shown on the lamp
