The chimney stoves of La NORDICA are suitable to heat living spaces for some periods.
AS FUEL, WOOD LOGS ARE USED. THE APPLIANCE WORKS AS AN INTERMITTENT OPERATING APPLIANCE.
The stove is made of sheets of metal in galvanized steel, enamelled cast iron and, depending on the model, thermo radiant ceramics or natural
stone.
The hearth is internally sheathed with single sheets in cast iron and inside it there is a turning and extractable grate; the back side is extractable.
Thanks to some calibrated holes made over that side, the supply of pre-heated air inside hearth is guaranteed and having, in this way, a post-
combustion which increases the yield and reduces gas output. Inside it there is a turning and extractable grate.
Below the extractable grate will be found an extractable ash-drawer with a closing door (Picture 8 - B).
The hearth is equipped with a panoramic door with ceramic glass (resistant up to 700 °C). This allows a wonderful view on the burning ames.
Furthermore, it is thus avoided the output of sparks and smoke.

THE HEATING OF THE ENVIRONMENT IS MADE BY:
•CONVECTION: (70%) the air passage through the double mantel of the stove releases heat into the environment;
•IRRADIATION (30%): through the panoramic glass and the external hot surfaces of the stove, the heat is radiated into the environment.
( See chapter CALCULATION OF THE THERMAL POWER).
THE STOVE IS EQUIPPED WITH CONTROLS OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AIR BY WHICH IT IS ADJUSTED THE COMBUSTION AIR.
1A - PRIMARY air register (Picture 6)
With the primary air control, which is found below the hearth door it is adjusted the passage of air through the ash drawer and the grate
in the fuel direction. The primary air is necessary for the combustion process. The ash drawer must be regularly emptied, so that the ash
does not obstruct the primary air entry. Through the primary air the re is also kept alive.
DURING WOOD COMBUSTION, THE REGISTER OF PRIMARY AIR MUST BE OPENED ONLY FOR A WHILE, BECAUSE OTHERWISE THE
WOOD BURNS FAST AND THE STOVE MAY OVERHEAT (see chapter NORMAL OPERATION).
2A - SECONDARY air register (Picture 6)
On the over part of the door there is the secondary air control. Also this register must be opened (then moved to the right), especially for
wood combustion (see chapter NORMAL OPERATION).
Through this register it is possible to adjust the power of the stove. Leaving it slightly open, according to the ue of the chimney, it is
possible to keep the glass clean.
The adjustment of the registers necessary to reach the RATED CALORIFIC YIELD is the following one:
