■ Connectiviteit

U kunt de instellingen definiëren voor inbelverbindingen voor packet-gegevens.

Packet-gegevens (EGPRS)

EGPRS (Enhanced General Packet Radio Service, packet-gegevens) is een

netwerkdienst waarmee mobiele telefoons gegevens kunnen verzenden en

ontvangen via een IP-netwerk (Internet Protocol). EGPRS maakt draadloze

toegang mogelijk tot gegevensnetwerken, zoals internet.

Toepassingen die gebruikmaken van packet-gegevens zijn MMS, browsersessies,

e-mail, extern SyncML, downloaden van Java-toepassingen en pc-inbeldiensten.

Als u wilt definiëren hoe u de dienst wilt gebruiken, selecteert u Menu >

Instellingen > Connectiviteit > Packetgegevens > Packetgegevens-verbinding.

Selecteer Wanneer nodig om in te stellen dat de verbinding voor packet-gegevens

tot stand moet worden gebracht wanneer een toepassing dit nodig heeft. De

verbinding wordt verbroken wanneer de toepassing wordt afgesloten.
