4.4. Externer Tastschalter
Eine Betätigung des externen Tastschalters schaltet die Beleuchtung wie bei einer Aktivierung durch den
Sensor ein. Die Beleuchtung wird erst dann eingeschaltet, wenn die im Sensor integrierte Lichtmesszelle im
Raum ausreichend Dunkelheit registriert (die Tageslichtstärke ist niedriger als der vorab eingestellte Lux-Wert).
5. PFLEGE
Schmutz beeinträchtigt die Funktion des Präsenzmelders. Halten Sie deswegen immer die Linse sauber und
trocken. Benutzen Sie für die Linsenreinigung ein feuchtes Tuch mit Wasser und nur wenig Reinigungsmittel.
Üben Sie beim Reinigen niemals Druck auf die Linse aus. Sind Linse oder andere Komponenten des
Präsenzmelders defekt, dann nehmen Sie Kontakt zu einem qualifizierten Elektroinstallateur auf.

7. WARNHINWEISE FÜR DIE INSTALLATION
- Die Installation darf ausschließlich von einer Elektrofachkraft unter Berücksichtigung der geltenden
Vorschriften ausgeführt werden.

Diese Gebrauchsanleitung muss dem Benutzer ausgehändigt werden. Die Gebrauchsanleitung ist den Unterlagen
der elektrischen Anlage beizufügen und muss auch eventuellen neuen Besitzern ausgehändigt werden.
Zusätzliche Exemplare erhalten Sie über die Internetseiten von Niko oder über den Kundendienst von Niko.
- Beachten und berücksichtigen Sie bei der Installation unter anderem folgende Punkte:
- die gültigen Gesetze, Normen und Richtlinien.
- den Stand der Technik zum Zeitpunkt der Installation.
- die in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung aufgeführten Anweisungen, wobei diese Gebrauchsanleitung nur
allgemein gültige Bestimmungen enthält, die für jede Anlage spezifisch angewendet werden müssen.
- die allgemein anerkannten Regeln fachmännischer Arbeit.
8. NIKO UNTERSTÜTZUNG

9. GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
- Der Garantiezeitraum beträgt vier Jahre ab Lieferdatum. Als Lieferdatum gilt das Rechnungsdatum
zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs durch den Endverbraucher. Falls keine Rechnung mehr vorhanden ist, gilt das
Produktionsdatum.
- Der Endverbraucher ist verpflichtet, Niko schriftlich über einen Produktmangel innerhalb von zwei Monaten
nach dessen Feststellung zu informieren.
- Im Falle eines Mangels hat der Endverbraucher nur Recht auf kostenlose Reparatur oder Ersatz des
Produkts. Eine Entscheidung darüber obliegt allein Niko.
- Niko ist nicht für Mängel oder Schäden verantwortlich, die durch fehlerhafte Installation, nicht
bestimmungsgemäßen oder unsachgemäßen Gebrauch, durch falsche Bedienung, Anpassen/Ändern des
Produktes, infolge von unsachgemäßer Wartung entgegen den Wartungsvorschriften oder die sich aus
äußeren Umständen, wie beispielsweise infolge Feuchtigkeit oder Überspannung, ergeben.

Zwingende Vorschriften der nationalen Gesetzgebung bezüglich des Verkaufs von Konsumgütern und zum
Verbraucherschutz haben vor den obigen Bestimmungen Vorrang in den Ländern, in denen Niko direkt oder über
seine Neben- oder Tochtergesellschaften, Filialen, Vertriebsstellen, Agenten oder über feste Vertreter verkauft.

1. DESCRIPTION
The 360° presence detector for ceiling mounting uses Passive Infrared Technology (PIR) and is
suitable for indoor lighting control in offices, corridors, stair wells and cafeterias. This device may be used as
master and as slave.
2. INSTALLATION
2.1. Connection
Danger: Disconnect all power before installing the presence detector. Do not connect the device to the mains
voltage until installation has been completed.
A. One lighting circuit with one ore more detection points
Also refer to the wiring diagram (fig. 1).
1. Connect the main power supply to the L and N terminals.
2. Connect the load to the terminals and N to the master.
3. Connect the slave to SL on the master and to the slave.
4. Connect the earthing to the terminal.
B. Use of an external push button
You connect an external push button to the presence detector if you must also be able to control the
device manually. You can connect the push button to either the master or to a slave.
Follow the wiring diagram (fig. 2) to connect the push button.
2.2. Mounting
Tip: For optimal daylight metering, mount the presence detector (master) with the light port facing in the
direction of the incoming daylight (fig. 3).
Tip: Do not install the presence detector in direct sunlight or in the vicinity of heat sources (radiators) or air
currents (ventilation or air conditioning) (fig. 4). This can activate the sensor unnecessarily.
Tip: The presence detector is suitable for mounting on ceilings with a standard height of 2.5 to 3 m. The
device must be positioned above a desk at a distance of approximately 1 m from the chair.
1. a. For direct mounting on the ceiling (fig. 5A), use the holes with a centre distance of 105 mm.
The cable inlet must be rotated 45° with respect to the mounting holes.
b. For mounting in a flush-mounting box (fig. 5B), use the holes provided with a centre distance
of 60 mm, with which you push open the protection cap. Carefully install the cable following the
instructions for a permanent installation.
2. Push the sensor onto the terminal strip on the base and tighten the screw (fig. 6).
3. Start up the presence detector (fig. 7) and test the device (see section 3.4.).
4. Reduce the detection area, if necessary (fig. 8).
5. Install the protection cap (fig. 6).
3. SETTINGS
3.1. Factory settings
At delivery the parameters of the presence detector are set as follows:

3.2. DIP switches
Figure 7 shows how to set the DIP switches according to their application.

minimum, low, high or maximum.
3.3. Setting the flush-mounting motion detector as a slave
If you use the device as a slave (fig. 9):
1. Push the light port downward.
2. Replace the light port (transparent) with a daylight block (white).
3. Set the LUX key to maximum.
