a. If you changed the IP address settings of your computer in Step 4, reinstate the IP address settings
that your computer was using before.
This step assumes that the access point is now connected to the same router or
network that your computer was connected to before you connected it with an
Ethernet cable to the access point. For you to configure the access point, the IP
addresses of your computer and the access point must be in the same IP subnet.
This requirement does not apply if you log in to the access point over a WiFi
connection.
Note
b. Open a web browser from the computer or WiFi device that is connected to the access point.
c. In the address field of the web browser, enter the static IP address that you configured on the access
point.
d. When prompted, enter admin for the user name and password for the password.
The access point web management interface displays.
11. Change the settings as needed.
For more information, see the sections in this manual.
Log In to the Access Point After Setup to View or Change
Settings
After you set up the access point, you can view or change the settings for the access point.
To log in to the access point web management interface:
1. Open a web browser from a computer that is connected to the same network as the access point or to
the access point directly through an Ethernet cable or WiFi connection.
If you did not enable the access point’s DHCP client or configure a static IP address
when you connected the access point to your router or network (see Connect the
Access Point to Your Router or Network on page 12), the access point uses its default
IP address of 192.168.0.100. In this situation, you must temporarily change the IP
address on your computer to 192.168.0.210 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 so that
the IP addresses of your computer and the access point are in the same IP subnet.
This requirement does not apply if you log in to the web management interface over
a WiFi connection.
Note
2. Enter the IP address that is assigned to the access point.
If you did not enable the DHCP client on the access point or did not assign a static IP address, enter
the default access point IP address 192.168.0.100.
A login window opens.
3. Enter the access point user name and password.
