1. Push the PROGRAMS button until the HEART HEALTH Category is selected.
2. The Console shows the RECOVERY TEST workout. Push OK.
Consult a physician before you start an exercise program. Stop exercising if you feel pain or tightness in your chest,
become short of breath, or feel faint. Contact your doctor before you use the machine again. Use the values calculated
or measured by the machine’s computer for reference purposes only. The heart rate displayed on the console is an
approximation and should be used for reference only.
3. Push the Increase() or Decrease() buttons to select the Heart Rate Zone (HR Zone), and push OK.
4. The program begins with a 2 minute period at a causal pace. The Console will display the selected zone and the heart rate
value to start the test.
5. After two minutes, the Console will request the heart rate, “GRASP SENSORS”, if one is not detected.
If the heart rate is not in the zone, the Incline of the walking deck will be increased and the heart rate will be checked again
in one minute. This will continue until the heart rate is in the zone.
6. With the heart rate in the selected zone, the User must continue at this workout setting for three minutes.
7. After three minutes, the Incline will adjust to zero. The Console will begin a one minute cool down. The Recovery Test
value will be presented after the final heart rate reading at the end of the cool down period.
Note: Recovery Test values should only be compared to your previous values and not to other User Profiles.
Pausing or Stopping
The Console will go into Pause Mode if the user pushes PAUSE/STOP during a workout.
1. Push the PAUSE/STOP button to pause your workout. The Console will display “ PAUSED “.
2. To continue your workout, push the START button.
To stop the workout, push the PAUSE/STOP button. The Console will go into Results / Cool Down mode.
Results / Cool Down Mode
All workouts except Quick Start and the Heart Rate Control programs have a 3-minute Cool Down period. During this Cool
Down period, the Console shows the Workout Results. The Console will cycle through the workout results every 4 seconds.
During the Cool Down period, the speed of the walking belt will adjust to 2 mph (3.2 km/h) and the incline setting will adjust to
zero. The User can adjust the belt speed and deck incline during the Cool Down period.
Push PAUSE/STOP to end the Results / Cool Down period and go back to Power-Up Mode. If there is no input to the Con-
sole for 5 minutes, the Console automatically goes into Sleep Mode.
GOAL TRACK Statistics (and Achievements)
The statistics from every workout are recorded to a User Profile.
To view the GOAL TRACK statistics of a User Profile:
1. From the Power-Up screen, push the User button to select a User Profile.
2. Push the Goal Track button to enter the Goal Track mode.
Note: To exit the Goal Track mode, push the Goal Track button and the console will go back to the Power-Up Mode
screen.
3. The Console will display the “LONGEST WORKOUT”, the workout values and activate the corresponding Achievement light.
After 4 seconds, the Console will display the name of the workout, and then the date it was performed (except for “LAST
7 DAYS” and “LAST 30 DAYS”).
Note: To exit the GOAL TRACK statistics, push the PAUSE/STOP button and the console will go back to the Power-Up
Mode screen.
