If the fuse cover is detachable, never use the
plug with the cover omitted. Replacement
covers can be obtained from your service
agent.
Fit the appropriate plug according to the ins-
tructions in paragraph "Fitting a plug". With
alternative plugs a 5 amp fuse must be fitted
either in the plug or adaptor or at the main fuse
box.
APPLIANCES WITHOUT FITTED PLUG
FITTING A PLUG - IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE : NEUTRAL
BROWN : LIVE
But the colours may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter ‘N’ or coloured black. The wire
which is coloured BROWN must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with the letter
‘L’ or coloured red.
This appliance is manufactured to conform to
the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety)
Regulations 1989 and is designed to comply
with BS 3456. It complies with the requirements
of the EEC Directive (89/336/EEC).
Any connection error will render the
guarantee null and void.
- Your appliance is intended solely for
domestic use and within the home.
- Unplug your appliance once you have
finished using it and when you are cleaning
it.
- Do not use your appliance if it is not working
correctly or if it has been damaged. If this
happens you should contact an approved
Moulinex service centre (see list in
« Moulinex service » booklet).
- Any intervention other than cleaning and
normal maintenance by the customer must
be carried out by an approved Moulinex
service centre.
- Do not place the appliance, the power cable
or the plug under running water or in any
other liquid.
- Do not allow the power cable to hang down
within reach of children.
- Always keep it well away from children.
- The power cable must never be close to the
hot parts of your appliance, a heat source or
resting on sharp edges.
- If the power cable or the plug are damaged,
do not use the appliance. To avoid any risk,
these must be replaced by an approved
Moulinex service centre (see list in service
booklet).
- For your own safety, use only Moulinex
accessories and spare parts which are
suitable for your appliance.
- Install your appliance on a stable, flat work
surface, temperature-resistant and well away
from any source of heat and any risk of water
splashes.
- Never turn on the appliance without first
putting water into the tank (B).
- For reasons of hygiene, only use the
appliance for sterilising babies’ bottles.
- For safety reasons, allow the appliance
to cool for about 30 minutes before
repeating a sterilisation procedure.
Using your appliance
- Take the baskets (E and F), the basket
support (G) and the tongs (H) out of the tank
(B).
- Place the basket support (G) in the central
opening in the bottle basket (E) and push it
until it clips into place.
- Wash the bottles and/or the teats to be
sterilised before putting them into the
appliance.
- Using a washed bottle, pour the required
quantity of water into the tank:
. for 4 bottles: 60 ml
. for 6 bottles: 70 ml
- Place the bottles upside down in the basket
(E) and put it into the tank.
- Put the washed teats and accessories (caps,
rings) into the teat basket (F).
- Place the teat basket onto the basket support
(G).
- Put the lid on.
- Plug in the appliance and press the start
button (D); the indicator light (C) will come
on.
Once sterilisation is complete (approx. 15 mi-
nutes), the appliance will automatically switch
off and the indicator light will go out.
The bottles and teats are now ready for use.
- Use the tongs (H) to pick up the sterilised
objects.
- Handle the sterilised items with care as they
will be hot when first removed from the
appliance.
