Use
• Adjust the thermostat button (fig.5), consulting the table
below.
• The thermostat light comes on (fig.6). It will go out when the
soleplate is hot enough.
Adjust the temperature and the steam
It is normal for the indi-
cator light to switch on
and off during ironing
Before first use
• Your appliance has been designed to function with untreated
tap water. However, Self-cleaning of the appliance should be
carried out once a month.
• Never use any of the types of water below that contain orga-
nic waste or mineral elements and may cause spitting, brown
staining or premature ageing of your appliance: commercially
available pure demineralised water, water from tumble dryers,
scented water, softened water, water from refrigerators, water
from batteries, water from air conditioners, distilled water, rain
water, boiled or filtered water, bottled water, etc.
• The integrated anticalc system (depending on model) gives
better quality ironing: a constant flow of steam throughout the
ironing session and lasting performance of your appliance.
Preparation
• Unplug your iron before filling it and set the steam control to
(fig.1).
• Open the reservoir refilling hatch (fig.2), place the iron flat and
fill it (fig.3).
• Close the reservoir refilling hatch.
• Before using your iron with the steam function for the first time,
we recommend that you operate it in a horizontal position for a
few moments, away from your linen, i.e. press the Boost button
a few times (depending on model).
• During the first few uses, a harmless odour and smoke may be
given off. This has no effect on the use of the iron and will disap-
pear quickly.
What water to use ?
Filling the water tank
Fill the tank up to the
“MAX”
Please read these
instructions carefully and
keep them for future
reference.
Remove and throw away
the plastic part that
protects the cord (A).
Remove any labels from
the soleplate before
heating up the iron
(depending on model).
If you have very hard
water, mix tap water with
commercially available
demineralised water in the
following ratio:
- 50% tap water,
- 50% demineralised water.
Deploy the Easycord system
• Your iron is equipped with the Easycord system to prevent the
cord trailing across the laundry and creasing it during ironing.
• Press the button located on the base (fig.4) and the Easycord
system is automatically deployed. You can now plug in your
appliance and begin ironing.
Always use the Easycord
system for enhanced com-
fort of use.
