- Make sure that before each use the mains

lead is not damaged and the appliance

shows no sign of deterioration

-Do not use the appliance if the mains lead is

damaged. It should only be replaced at a

Moulinex approved centre (see list in the

Moulinex Service handbook) as special tools

are necessary.

- Never use the appliance without water in the

tank

- Do not move the appliance when in use

- Before moving the appliance:

. disconnect it

. leave to cool

. empty the drip tray

- Never submerge the electrical base in water

- Beware during use; steam can severely

burn :

. handle all parts with an oven glove or a cloth

. always take care when removing lid

. always use a kitchen utensil when handling

food in the steamer

Before using the appliance

for the first time

- Wash cooking dishes and other parts in

soapy water, rinse and dry carefully

- Wipe the water tank with a damp sponge

Using the appliance

. STEP 1

- Fill the water tank either via the water refil

spout (A3) after removing the lid, or directly

into the tank

- Never exceed the maximum fill level

- Never add herbs or seasoning to this water

Place the drip tray on to the electric base (A)

. STEP 2

Your steam cooker can be used with one or

two cooking dishes (according to model) as

well as with other accessories.

A. Using one cooking dish

- Place food to be cooked in the cooking dish

- Place the bowl on the base

B. Using two cooking dishes

- Place the bowls on the base (smaller dish

(D) on the bottom)

- If the cooking times for the food in each of

the cooking dishes are different, start by

cooking food needing a longer cooking time

in the small dish , then add the second bowl

during use to finish cooking at the same time.

large cooking dish (C)

C. Cooking using the rice dish

- Put rice and water into rice bowl (C2) (1 part

rice to 2 parts water)

- Place the rice dish in the cooking dish

- Place both dishes on the base

D. Using the separator

The separator (C1) allows you to cook two

different types of food in the same cooking

dish without mixing the flavours.

- Place the separator in the centre of the

cooking dish. Place food to be cooked on

both sides of the separator.

- Place the bowl on the base.

TEP 3

Once the cooking dishes and accessories are

in place:

- Replace the lid

- Connect the appliance, and only after this,

set the timer to the required time (see

cooking tables)

- The indicator light will come on, and cooking

will begin

- When the cooking time has elapsed the timer

will sound and the indicator light will go off.

- Remove the lid with care

The cooking dish can be placed on the

upturned lid on a flat surface to drain food.

Important

- While cooking is in progress, make sure that

there is water in the water tank.

At any time it is possible to alter the level of

water without handling the cooking dishes by

using the refil spout.

- If you use the cooker twice successively,

empty the drip tray between the two cooking

cycles and alter the water level if necessary

Practical Hints

It is recommended that fish is cooked in tin

foil.

If large quantities are being cooked, stir during

cooking.

Liquid collected in the drip tray can be used

to make sauces.

Rice can be seasoned as desired in the rice

bowl.

Cleaning

- After each use, disconnect the appliance and

leave to cool
