40 Using your Answering Machine
9.8 Remote access
Remote access allows you to operate your answer machine and listen to your messages by
calling your IT.6TX from another phone.
The default setting is
Activated
.
1. Call your IT.6TX. When you hear your outgoing message, press #.
2. Enter your 4 digit PIN. The default code is 0000.
- You hear a conrmation beep.
3. After entering your PIN as stated above, use the keypad to operate your IT.6TX answer
machine:
Play messages 2
Play previous message 1
Play next message 3
Delete message playing 6
Switch answer machine on 7
Stop playback 8
Switch answer machine o 9
9.8.1 Remote access on/o and change remote PIN

M, scroll u or d to
Answ Machine
and press M.
2. Scroll
d to
Answ Setting
and press M.
3. Scroll
d to
Remote Acc
. and press M.
4. Scroll
u or d to select
Activated

Deactivated

Change PIN

5. Press
M to conrm.
If you choose
Change PIN
enter the old PIN and press M.
6. Enter the new PIN and press
M.
7. Re-enter the new PIN.
8. Press
M to conrm.
9. Press
e to return to standby.
9.9 Call screening
Use your handset or base speaker to hear a caller leaving a message. You can then choose
to ignore the caller or pick up the call.
The default settings are:

  • The phone book has suddenly lost all functionality. I cannot access any stored numbers or store any new ones. If I try to use the phone book, it just bleeps at me. I can still send and receive calls, but have to key in the entire number to call out. If anyone can help me resolve this matter, I will be very pleased. Submitted on 2-3-2023 at 11:36
