The first step to setting a suspension is to set static sag () according to rider's weight and tyres used.
Static sag () is the difference between the unloaded dimension (4) and the loaded dimension with the rider on board
in riding position (5).
CAUTION It is recommended that you take a few laps to help the forks bed in before taking the necessary
measurements.
Measure the distance from the bottom yoke to the fork lug.
Check to ensure measured sag () falls within the tolerance range specified in the table below.
If not so, work the spring preload adjuster (3) until achieving an acceptable value.
After setting sag (), you may tune your suspension through the hydraulic adjusters (1 and 2) within the ranges
specified in the following table:
The indications provided in the table have been obtained after extensive testing by experienced test riders on different
racetracks and are valid for all types of racetracks.
