Smontaggio e rimontaggio pneuma-
tici sulle ruote
Tyre fitting
The motorbike is equipped with light-alloy rims which,
despite featuring a high mechanical resistance, can
however get damaged, both from an aesthetic and
functional point of view, by using unsuitable tools during
removal and refitting of the wheel onto the rim.
For the above procedures, it is therefore advisable to
use iron tools which do not have grooves and sharp
edges on the parts which come into contact with the
edge of the rim.
The contact surface must be wide, well smoothed and
with suitably rounded edges; using one of the special,
commercially available lubricants will help the tire slide
into and bed-in on the rim during disassembly and
reassembly, and it will eliminate the need to heavily load
the iron tools; for this reason, it is also very important
that the tires’ bead heels are well set in the rim’s central
channel.
Observe the rotation direction indicated by the arrow
on the tire side when assembling the tires.
