FRONT FORK: OIL CHANGE - OVERHAUL VORDERRADGABEL: ÖLWECHSEL - REVISION
• Pump the stanchion up and down to ensure the plunger
rod is completely filled with oil;
NOTE
Reverse the disassembly procedure.
ADJUSTABLE FORK
• Insert spring retainer, spring, pre-load tube.
• Compress the spring and insert the cap.
• Tighten the lock nut so as to preload the spring.
• Tighten the top crown onto the damper rod.
• Tighten the lock nut against the top crown.

ON ADJUSTABLE FORK
• Insert the spring and the pre-load tube.
• Tighten the top crown onto the damper rod.
• Tighten the lock nut against the top crown.
• Fit plug on the stanchion tube, just starting the thread
and taking care not to damage the O-ring.
Tighten the plug to a torque of 20 Nm.
FORK LEG REASSEMBLY
• Fit the fork leg on the motorcycle inserting it through
the bottom yoke and the steering head;
• Tighten the screws on the steering head and on the
bottom yoke to the torque prescribed in the table in
chap. 2 of Section 5.
• Mit dem Tauchrohr pumpen und sich dabei darüber
vergewissern, dass der Pumpstab vollständig mit Öl
gefüllt ist.
HINWEIS
Die beim Ausbau vorgenommen Arbeitsschrit-
te in umgekehrter Reihenfolge ausüben.
REGULIERBARE VORDERRADGABEL
• Die Federaufnahme, die Feder und die Vorspannhülse
einfügen.
• Die Feder zusammendrücken, dann den Federteller
einfügen.
• Die Kontermutter anziehen und so die Feder vorspan-
nen.
• Den Verschluss anschrauben und am Dämpferstab
festziehen.
• Die Kontermutter am Verschluss festziehen.
NICHT REGULIERBARE VORDERRADGABEL
• Die Feder und die Vorspannhülse einfügen.
• Den Verschluss am Dämpferstab anschrauben.
• Die Kontermutter am Verschluss festziehen.
• Den Verschluss am Tauchrohr ansetzen und dabei
darauf achten, dass der O-Ring nicht beschädigt wird.
Nun den Verschluss mit einem Anzugsmoment von
20 Nm anziehen.
MONTAGE DES HOLMS
• Den Holm am Motorrad einfügen, dabei durch die un-
tere und die obere Gabelbrücke führen.
• Die Schrauben an der oberen und der unteren Gabel-
brücke auf das in der Tabelle im Kap. 2 des Abschn.
5 vorgeschriebene Anzugsmoment bringen.
